melatonin? When lying down to sleep close your eyes and then roll up your eyeballs as though you are looking up, stay like that and the next thing you will be conscious of is when you wake up.
best wishes

21My son, do not lose sight of these—
keep sound wisdom and discretion,
22and they will be life for your soul
and adornment for your neck.
23Then you will walk on your way securely,
and your foot will not stumble.
24If you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. —Proverbs 3

Try listening to the Bible on audio. I normally listen to the book of Psalms while lying in bed and at a sound level that I can barely hear. Seeing how there are 150 psalms, I am normally asleep way before the book finishes.

I had 6 months of insomnia. I could not close my eyes without thoughts flooding my mind. At the time, I was pursuing something that was not God's will. I had this word: (Isaiah 50:11)

"Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who array yourselves with firebrands, walk in the light of your fire and of the firebrands you have lit! This is what you will receive from My hand: You will lie down in a place of torment.…"

When I quit the pursuit, I had peace immediately.

If you find yourself indulging in sweets, try cuttings out sugar , and keep caffeine beverages to the early hours of your awake time.

What works for me is a big cup of warm milk with a few dashes of tumeric powder in it. I put on ear plugs and schedule a great message on faith, healing etc for 20 min and I'm sleeping🙌😴 I make enough so if I wake up I just take a few more sips.

There are a number of things that can help. The first place to start is by trying to figure out why you can't sleep. Do you have any clues?

I don't have insomnia, but I have a lot of trouble sleeping. It's been a long time since I experienced that wonderful feeling of true exhaustion. The kind where you long for your bed and actually wake up feeling rested in the morning.

For me, it's the opposite. I have to force myself to go to bed, only to fall asleep after about two hours of non-stop thinking. I don't need to explain how I feel when I wake up.

You ask a really good question. In my case, I know where this comes from.

Your questions seems so simple but is yet so important for everybody to ask themselves.

A Good night's sleep is so important for restoration, healing, productivity and mental health. It's good that you are taking interest in the subject.
Depending on your age, nutrition, habits and life events, a racing mind or trouble calming the mind can also be a number of factors.

For instance, someone who has experienced severe trauma might have trouble controlling the thoughts that invade the mind. The stress will raise cortisol levels and adrenaline, putting them into a sleepless mode.

A common contemporary habit is screen time. Watching movies or engaging online interests exercises the brain when it's time to slow down and not focus on anything important. The light from TV, phone or computer screens activates the pineal gland to say it's morning and time to wake up.

Another common cause is dietary.
Magnesium and calcium deficiency is present with most people. I will share this class with you about the details that might be helpful.

I hope these common possibilities are helpful.
