But what if we DO have you on Ignore -- and are just peeking?
I don't know how it is now, but in the old system, even though you had someone on Ignore, the thread would always have a line that said something like, "A post has been made by someone on your Ignore list -- would you like to see it?" Which basically defeated the purpose.
The funniest times are when people proudly declare they are putting someone on Ignore... then keep right on directly responding to that person's posts anyway. This means they're either still constantly peeking at what the person wrote, or keep hopping back and forth putting that person on Ignore, then taking them off, then putting them back on... Round and round it goes. 🔁🎠
The most entertaining ones are when someone has half the people in the thread on Ignore, but still tries to actively and very vocally participates in the thread anyway, or is trying to talk about the people they're "ignoring" without knowing the full picture.
It's literally taking stabs in the dark, like a hearing-impaired person trying to fully participate in a conversation without their hearing aids on.
If I remember right, I've put 3 people on Ignore in the old system, but I had to take them off almost immediately.
I quickly realized that trying to write threads and participate in conversations without knowing what people were saying really made me look like a moron (even more so than usual.)
