Belief

I have read and heard so much about how people are told to be saved.

So much is spoken of "all who believe" yes certain scriptures when taken alone seem to indicate any one who belevies will be saved.

And yet even the demons believe we are told. so obviusly there is far more to being saved than simply beliving that Jesus is the son of God and saviour.

Yes belief is the first change in a person.

But what do people do with that belief is what makes the difference between being saved or not i think

Not works people will scream and list a dozen or more scriptures. but faith without works is dead. Beleif alone is not enough.

Repentence obviously is a huge part of following the choice to believe.

And i think it is clear in bible that OBEDIENCE is what is needed

Now what obedience do we need to do.
That is upto each of us to work out between God and yourselves. All the followers are part of the one body. some are the hands some the feet. some the elbows etc etc. Find what God wants you to do. and the only way to know that is to HEAR his Voice as JEsus himself said . MY sheep know MY voice.

Ill leave it to others to now say that the bible is full of Gods voice and that is all that is needed.

I pray that the Holy Spirit is released upon beleivers soon so we can then be of one mind one spirit. Listen to the Teacher is all we can do.

God's doing in verses 4-7, for us in risen Son to us to stand in belief to receive the faith from God eventually and then wow, woe is me

you know before I was saved I believed in Jesus I knew he was the son of God the savior but I knew I wasn't saved I knew because I still felt dead inside I still longed to know love I still wanted a reason to be alive

It wasn't until I reached the point in my life where I was in my room deeply depressed my life was trash to me everything I owned trash and I literally got on my knees in tears begging him to come into my heart I surrendered everything to him my life my posessions everything. that is when I was saved that is when this life filled me to the brim to the point I danced for joy unable to stop thanking him and praising him

surrender was the key for me

its a matter of what a person believes. A lot of times a Christian will say I believe but one Christian believes “ your saved by grace God chose you nothing you can do will change anything your saved by grace alone nothing else matters or applies “


Or of someone believes “ Jesus died for my sins so I can be saved he said I need to repent , he said I need to stop doing harm to mothers and start doing good he said I’ll be judged on every word and action I take he said if I continue in his doctrine I’ll know the truth and be set free ect but believe this “


These two folks can both say they believe but they actually believe very different things even opposite at some points

what I mean is it matters what doctrine we believe

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

If I believe a fable about Jesus or if I believe the truth matters because false teachers really can lead a person astray with false doctrine a believer can be led astray believing false doctrine

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”

demons believe Jesus is the son of God they know he rose from the dead but they reject him as thier lord and won’t submit to him they won’t accept his words of goodness and mercy and truth and everlasting life

we have to believe as the lord spoke it with the conditions he himself placed upon it believing in Jesus does absolutely save people it’s the only to g that can but we have to believe him as he presents himself and salvation not as false teachers oreeent him and salvation

believers can believe the wrong things even be led astray after believing right things
