Yes Sir, and and as we can see in Acts 8,10 and 19 that same message was carried to the Gentiles,Samairitans and to Ephesus.

Jews were not even to speak to the some different people, but in Acts 10 GOD gave Peter a dream and he went with fellow Jews to Cornelius home where there were his family and friends.

What happened?

Gentiles, SAME MESSAGE.

Peter was preaching about JESUS and this happened.
Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Samaritan's, SAME MESSAGE.

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians, SAME MESSAGE.

Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

End result, we can tell that when Peter gave that message it was to the Jews BUT HE HAD NO IDEA it was also for ALL MAN KIND.

Keep in mind when JESUS gave HIS disciples the message in Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

JESUS knew Acts 2:38 was going to be for ALL, go into ALL NATIONS.
Everything with you, is .... "You say so." So, it is so.

I have no desire to argue.

Go live as you believe, and reap what you "sow."

God will not be mocked.

I have no idea? But I believe you.

Have you obeyed it, baptized in JESUS name to get rid of your sins?

The most important thing is being reborn.

I see...

I do not know what denomination has baptized you into its legalism.
Just the same....

Have fun bossing people around.

I'm confused, if the only way we can get rid of our sins is being baptized in JESUS name without it how do you get rid of your sins?

What makes you think you can be made never to sin again?
Do you believe you can not sin anymore after you are saved?

We remain after salvation able to sin.
That will not stop as a potential as long as your saved soul remains in the body you were born with.

What we do to cleans ourselves after we catch ourselves sinning is plainly stated in 1 John 1:9.

Here is 1 John 1:8-9.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and
purify us from all unrighteousness.

'Confess' means to simply acknowledge to God the sin. And, state it to Him privately.

As we mature it becomes as easy and quick as tying our shoe laces.
Its God's way of resetting our spiritual circuit breaker to keep the Holy Spirit filling us.

Your right, but no idea why you would think I think that.

How do you think we get rid of our sins to be reborn?

Because you keep saying "get rid of our sins". Our personal sins are forgiven but our inherent sin nature remains, it is not done away with.

In God's eyes.... Jesus was already slain before we were born.
Only God can do that, because God can not fail.

Revelation 13:8
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written
in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Cross took care of the barrier between us and God because of our sins.

Even the unbeliever's sins were paid for!

That is why we were free to believe in Jesus, even while yet we were sinners!

We do not got to Hell for our sins.

They go to hell for rejecting Jesus Christ.

I'm sure you can share scritpure where are sins are already forgiven, BUT NOT those inherent sin nature remains???

Do you mean our sins are forgiven when we get baptizedin JESUS name, and future sins are not. That makes since because it's bible.

Because it sounds like when you say "get rid of our sins" that you think we no longer have a sin nature and all sin is non-existent now because we are in Christ.

Baptism is what God does to us, not what we get done. Matthew 3:11 Mark 1:8 Acts 1:5

Why do you think the Holy Spirit indwells us bodily? It is because of the sin nature in the flesh. He makes clean what we cannot. Or do you think you are without sin now and never have to struggle with it?

Romans 7:23
But I see a different law in my members waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that is in my members.

1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

JESUS told HIS DISCIPLE to WAIT.
Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

They were filled with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

This is what happens when a person is filled.
Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

The first message that JESUS promised to be preached.
Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Mark 16:16-17
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Acts 8, People were baptized and days later JESUS filled then with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10, JESUS filled people with the Holy Ghost and were commanded to be baptized.
Acts 19, People were baptized and Paul laid hands on them and JESUS filled them with the Holy Ghost.

Hope this clears up your questions.

If your asking me, it's our job to obey HIS WORD. We need to repent and get baptized in JESUS name to get rid of all of the sins we were born with and those we commited why we were alive.

After that our future all we need to do is repent and ask him to forgive them.

The Holy Ghost leads and guides us on our walk, be a good idea to look at 1 cor chapter 14 Paul goes into detail about the Holy Ghost and it's gifts.

Jesus was not talking about water baptism.

The ancients only knew in their day what we call "natural childbirth."
When a person was born physically, their mother 'broke water.'

Water = first birth. = Physical.

Spirit = new birth. = Spiritual.

Born again had nothing to do with water baptism.

I remember when first I learned that from a pastor-scholar who was a dedicated full time student of the Scriptures.
I was so relieved to have it finally make sense!
For some make that passage to mean that water baptism is essential to becoming born again....

Problem was?
If water baptism was required for salvation?
We would not be saved by grace, but by works.

This is not about me, or between you and me it's between you and JESUS.

Your teacher should be JESUS HE IS THE WORD, not any man including me.

Problem is people can't read and understand simple words they don't like what it says so that is why do many different denominations!!

JESUS was speaking to Nicodemus, was Nicodemus already born??

If you were not born you would not be able to READ HIS WORD.

If you were not born you would NOT NEED TO BE BAPTIZED in JESUS name to get rid of your sins you were born with.

Did you notice JESUS used the word REBORN???? HOW CAN you be REBORN without being BORN naturally???

Look at John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

JESUS states was is born of flesh is flesh and spirit is spirit.

So who are you going to follow the man you think knows his word OR HIS WORD?

How did that man tell you to get rid of your sins?

This is what JESUS tells us.

Acts 2:38-39
King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

We all have choice to make, our lives depends on them.

You've already said that. It is what you mean by "get rid of all sin" that eludes my understanding. How do you get rid of the law of sin (generally termed the sin nature) that resides in your body? (Rom.7:23)

The sin we are born with and the sins we commit while alive are the totality of our sin, there are no future sins beyond that. You are claiming being baptized in Jesus name deals with that. There is no future need for forgiveness as no-one sins after they are no longer alive.

You make it sound like once one is baptized that's it, all sin is done and dusted but then you talk of future sin beyond the ones we commit while alive. Your statements are very confusing.

Is sin something that disappears at baptism or do we continue to struggle with it?
