Laundry Mat

My closest laundromat is just called Laundromat too.

One time my friend's washing machine packed up, and she asked if she could use ours.
Nobody had ever asked to use our washing machine before, except my sister because at her place (which is also where my bros live) they don't have a big washing line for their sheets to hang out to dry. We have a big rotary line. So it can spin in the wind as well.

Anyway, I was a bit surprised that my friend would ask that and wondered...why can't she just go to a laundromat? Maybe it just didn't occur to her that she could do that. I mean they aren't that expensive...

She didn't end up using ours, she got hers fixed but in the mean time I think she asked someone else who was closer to use theirs instead :LOL:

Actually, I enjoy going to laundry mats. You can meet some interesting people there. Everyone has a story to tell. Thank you for sharing your laundry adventures stories.

Maybe she doesn't like being around strangers if she's loading her undies in and out of machines. :geek:

Er...

Is that all people think about? Honestly.

Whenever I've been to the laundromat (not very often) I really don't pay much attention to everyone else's laundry, I'm concerned about my own.

Same here. The sooner that I get done the better.
 
I used the laundry machines in my former apartment once. They were for tenants only. A young woman loading her machine said "Did you just move in. I don't think I've seen you here before." I stumbled a bit because she was pretty and I said no I've been here for about a year. Then said something like "A year? We must just be missing each other." I said no its because I always drive to my parents on the weekend and do my laundry there.. Now that I think about it, maybe she was interested in being friends. I always dismissed that sort of thing because I know women weren't attracted to asian guys back then... plus I was terribly shy. I grew up in the wrong decade. 🤕

So I guess you're probably thinking neon colors is 80s, khaki colors is 90s, and I guess black and blue is like blue jeans in the 70s. Those are great analogies, but I never followed fashion trends. Most of my life I wore jeans and t-shirts, and trousers and buttoned shirts for work.

No black and blue and khaki and tan are just guy's colours. Any decade. I was just messin' with ya.

Clothing for men - typically
Jeans come in either blue or black
T shirts for men usually are blue, black or white
Trousers can be navy, black, or khaki and tan
And shirts, white, pinstripe or...white.

Any other colours? Do you play sports? Uniforms can come in many colours, depending on what team you play for.

Most of my jeans are blue but I have had a few pairs of black ones and a couple khaki / tan pairs. Got a bunch of T-shirts in various colors although my favorite colors are blue and red.

I don't play sports anymore but back in the day I participated in a variety of sport. I had a blue uniform (#10) when I played for the company softball team.
 
The one time I played sport it was a blue and white uniform. Our knickers had to be black or dark blue. Because our blue netball skirts were very short. But being the shortest and smallest player, naturally, the skirt was huge on me.

My school uniforms were variously - red and grey, brown and yellow, and crimson and khaki.
My work uniforms have been - green and black, grey and brick red, black and black.

I don't think I've ever had a white collar job. Or a blue one.
