I guess that you were in between. Most of my working years to date have been blue collar types.I don't think I've ever had a white collar job. Or a blue one.

My family used cloth diapers. Once a week the laundry guy came - took the bag of soiled diapers and left a clean bag with clean fresh ones.I didn’t expect to agree with a post about laundry, but here we are.
There is something oddly satisfying about hanging clothes outside and then bringing them in smelling all fresh like you’ve accomplished something great in life.
We had a dryer when the kids were small and it definitely felt like a survival tool back then. But once it broke, I kind of went “well… I guess we’re doing this the old school way now” and never looked back.
Also respect for the cloth diapers, true dedication level unlocked![]()
wow, that must be a privileged life. There is a laundry guy coming pick up the diapers!! First time hear this.My family used cloth diapers. Once a week the laundry guy came - took the bag of soiled diapers and left a clean bag with clean fresh ones.
I agree that the clothes that dry in the sunshine, perhaps with a gentle breeze smell fresher than clothes that come out of the dryer.
I guess that I don't have the energy or desire to go to the trouble of installing a clothesline or one that spins and then actually go outside, hang the clothes, pray that it doesn't rain, then go back outside and retrieve the clothes.
In regard to 'old school' - that approach is probably the most satisfying and rewarding.
Actually, I enjoy doing laundry and other various household tasks. Yeah, therapeutic.wow, that must be a privileged life. There is a laundry guy coming pick up the diapers!! First time hear this.
About drying laundry by sun air wind, only if you love it, then it becomes therapeutic. Just as someone loves cleaning, yard work, cooking... something they enjoy doing and appreciate the process and result.
To me it is very therapeutic![]()

I enjoy baking during snow days, no where to go, might as well bake.I like hanging out the washing, it's my favourite job/chore.
Also washing breakfast dishes on a cold morning because the water is hot!
My wife enjoys baking during snow and cold weather too.I enjoy baking during snow days, no where to go, might as well bake.

I have lived through many heavy snowfalls, mostly in Michigan and Maine. If your road doesn't get plowed you are going nowhere.I've never had snow, and the one day we had it in Auckland, it didn't snow where I was!
We have fake snow but I don't know where it gets made or how to make it. There's actually an amusement park called Snow Planet that is an indoor fake ski slope, we have Penguins in our underwater aquarium that keep cool by ice and refrigeration...we have snow cones we call frosties. But no actual falling from the sky snow!!
We also have an indoor ice skating rink in one suburb that I haven't been to since I was a tween.
So, when people sing about dreaming of a White Christmas, for sure...I've never had one. Our Christmas is in summer!
Good to know. I will have to wash my cape separately from the underpants.superhero underpants lol.
What colour
Oh red...with a belt...what about the cape? Those need to be washed separately cos red turns whites pink
One method would be to use those washer sheets that remove excess color in the water retendering the cloak invisible. Worth a try in my estimation.I wonder how you would wash the Cloak of Invisibility.
When his clothes get soiled, which seems unlikely because he is basically a parasite who does no useful work, he just has one of his many servants toss 'em in the trash and then dispatches a serf to Target (or the equivalent) to buy some new duds. On credit, of course. He has to look like a sharp dressed man when around his numerous concubines.Ok what about the Emperor's new clothes. Do we need to wash them? I suspect they'll never get dirty.
Apparently, the serfs do their own shopping at K-Mart but the emperor prefers a slightly more upscale shopping experience. What, he goes to Target? Not K mart?
