But Democrat Mamdani wants you to show ID before you can buy something from government controlled grocery stores?

The Democratic Socialists now enjoying popularity in the Democratic Party may very well split that Party. They are virtual Communists who want to undo our system of government here in America. They will talk in a populist way, but in the end the people will be subject to iron-clad government control. The Middle Class will be squeezed into either being die-hard Democratic Socialist supporters or fall into the lower classes, depending on the government for licenses and political oppresesion.

They won't split the party. Everyone on the Democrat ticket has one goal: stop the current corrupt and undemocratic regime. They may differ on tactics, but they're united on the outcome.

It has already split the Dem Party. A number of prominent Democrats have already come out against the Democrat Socialsts. Too late.

The current administration is neither ocrrupt nor undemocratic. The Democrats, by contrast, always vote as a bloc, even when issues like immigration are 80-20 against them. That is not "democratic." Putting Harris in there as Presidential candidate was not "democratic."

They are known in Australia as "Gucci Socialists". They see the working class as peasants to be exploited. That view is no better than the capitalists that they despise. They force change onto people who did not vote for it and who reject it. They promise Utopia while ensuring that it becomes impossible. Good examples include China, North Korea, The former Soviet Union and the present UK.

The UK declared war on rich and successful people and drove them away. Now the nation is controlled by Muslims, Christians are persecuted and the cost of living outrageous. Australia is among the most blessed countries. We used to be called the "Lucky Country". Sure, lucky if you can get a decent job, lucky if you can find a place to live, lucky if you can even think about buying a home.

Socialism can work if it is voluntary. Israel's Kibbutz demonstrates that. The paternalistic and autocratic "we know what's best" model is a recipe for disaster.

We have corrupt enemies of that model serving in our Congress. On both sides of the aisle. They're called Librals,Democrats. Or,RINO's,which means as Republicans they've betrayed the party's values.

We have a president that lives America. And knowing what he's up against because they've met before during his first term, he's now working to beat them at their own game.

Kibbutzim is not representative of a national government. Strict controls are necessary in many applications.

But in government it leads to a tyranny. And yes, people are treated like bricks in a wall. They are tools to be used with indifference to their humanity.

Socialism/Communism sounds good when efficiency and order is desired. But in the end, people are turned into pawns to be used. In the end they starve or live a life addicted to government-provided motivations to work. In a Communist country, religion is not the opiate. Rather, it is the lust for freedom from morality.

Kibbutzism has been tried many times here in the USA as it was starting out as just colonies.. They have been the sites of some colossal failures in utopian societies.
Such cities known today as Philadelphia....an armpit city riddled with crime and violence and urban decay.
Where they also held the beginnings of the government of our nation. (The utopian society long since forgotten)

Even the infamous Plymouth Rock was supposed to be a Utopian socialist society....and until Brown forced it to become a free market enterprise system they would have died from starvation and exposure from insufficient firewood.
