Let me give you a civilian hypothetical.
AVERAGE JOE restaurant has a policy regarding their supreme cheeseburgers. Only if ne extra beef patty is able to be purchased,per order.
Customer, Bob Entitled arrives at the restaurant and wants three extra patties.
Each patty cost is far less than buying a second supreme cheeseburger.
Which the single extra
burger is the limit,per burger order.Danny Employee informed on he can't give Bob those extra burgers,beyond just the one that's allowed for purchase.
Bob shows Danny two tickets to opening day at the local baseball field. Bob can't go due to work,so he'll give Danny those tickets if Danny fills his order beyond what is allowed.
And since the cash register won't permit ringing up orders for more parties per burger order than is allowed,this means Bob would only pay for the single extra burger patty. While Danny would have to give Bib the extra patties at no charge. Danny and Bob stealing those patties.
Danny agrees.
That's corruption,that's retail theft.
The rules are there,and an ethical honors le employee obeys them.

If a religious ideology were permitted to govern, any one party that obtained majority in our legislative branch could augment any given law to reflect their group religious ideology.
America is not a Christian Theocracy.
We are one nation under God. Our first amendment allows the question,which God? Our first amendment right allows the answer,any that we the people revere. Even if we revere none.
One nation under God was added to our pledge of allegiance on Flag Day, June 14, 1954.
"In God We Trust" was printed on our currency starting on July 11, 1955, after Congress passed bill H.R. 619 and it was later signed into law.
And still,given all that,there is no exclusive identification the God ,a title not a name, referred to is that of Christians.
Our founding documents refer to natures God.
Again,people infer this to be God of the Bible.
However, our founders,as mentioned, were not exclusively Christian.
Therefore, nature's God is able to be applied to any deity in any faith. Because all religions God, god's or goddesses,are believed to be the source. Or,natures god. And this so to insure,by implication, a free secular nation. Not a Theocracy
Chridtisn,or actually Jewish, values are interwoven in our system in an indirect way. Our laws follow the spirit of God's Decalogue. Thou shalt not steal,murder,bear false witness (perjury). At one time there were laws that prosecuted adultery. And also laws that at one time allowed the aggrieved spouse to sue the other man,woman,whom their spouse was having an affair with. The civil offense,charge, was called,alienation of affection. Not many States of any now permit this.
Those aforementioned laws derived from the spirit of the Ten Commandments are so to set a foundation for a civil obedient society.
As we know, as our prison populations attest,those laws in force across the nation do not manifest a civil society.

Sorry, going to politely disagree here. Capitalism isn't evil, it's the people who misuse it. Socialism is a horse of another color. It has killed millions of people around the world, left as many in abject poverty and misery.

Yes, early America was largely Christian and Deist. Our system was based on the Enlightenment because it tried to separate out religion from government. That allowed for the 2 religions to share governing the nation.
