Um John 3: 22 is a different scene, a different seeting and different context.

If We had to be baptised to be saved. Jesus would have told nicodemus.. The fact he left baptism out proves baptism in water is not required (HS baptism is required., but thats an act of God. Not an act of another man.

Jesus already stated multiple times that he who believes shall be saved. (John 3:15,16,18; 6:40,47; 11:25,26) In Mark 16:16, it's the lack of belief, which causes condemnation, and not the lack of baptism.

Unlike you, I consider the entire verse and the totality of scripture before reaching my conclusion on doctrine.

Amen! In regard to John 3:22, by this time Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus is over with and He has moved on. John 3:22 - After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and baptizing. Verse 22 is out of context with verse 5. What is still in context with verse 5 are verses 14-18.

You can know if you have trusted God and his promise. and recieve his gift of life.. you have eternal life.

However, if your trying to earn it by how good you are or by works.. then you can not know.. because you can never know if your good enough.

The text means they actually did become children of God the moment they believed on Jesus' name, as this right instantly imparts the actual status and new birth described in the very next verse. (John 1:13)

So, revolving door of saved, sin, lost again, then repent and confess and saved all over again and round and round we go? Die before you can repent or confess? You seem to have turned salvation by grace through faith into salvation by works at the back door.

How do you define repentance? Do you turn confession into inventory confession/confess each and every sin that you have ever committed or will commit and if you forget one you are toast?

Let's not ignore the fact that by the time we get all the way down to verse 22, Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus is over with and He has moved on. Yet John 3:14-18 is still within Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus and Jesus connects BELIEVING IN HIM with receiving eternal life with no mention of baptism.

That was AFTER Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus was over and Jesus and His disciples have moved on.

Which is after Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus is over. If you are looking for water that is unto eternal life, see (John 4:10,14; 7:37-39)

In Matthew 28:19,.we have here a command from Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations, and baptize converts. However, it does not say here that baptism is absolutely necessary for salvation. The same command also includes the clause "teaching them to observe all things" that Christ has commanded them. Becoming a disciple of Jesus is signified, yet not procured in the waters of baptism.

Paul's sins were washed away as he called on the name of the Lord and not literally by water baptism. The water is symbolic; the appeal to Christ’s name is the saving act. Romans 10:13 - For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

A symbol (water baptism) is not the reality, but is a picture of the reality. (Spirit baptism)

"Baptized into Christ" does not mean water baptized into the body of Christ. That is only accomplished through Spirit baptism. (1 Corinthians 12:13) Now in what "sense" would a believer be "water baptized into Christ?" In the same "sense" that the Israelites were "baptized into Moses.." (1 Corinthians 10:2) The Israelites were not literally water baptized into the body of Moses and there is little dispute that being "baptized into Moses" signified the open allegiance and public identification of the Israelites with Moses as their leader. Moses was formally recognized as the leader of the covenant people. Water baptism signifies our allegiance and public identification with Christ as our Savior, so it would only be in that sense.

There is only one baptism that places us into the body of Christ and that is Spirit baptism, not water baptism.

Ephesians 4:5 - ..one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. *Also see John 4:10,14; 7:37-39 for the word drink(s) and see the connection with the Holy Spirit.

Ever try Nike ? That even takes fairh out of the equation when understood in The word it tome for kings to meet and the Greatest kung bring the Gift The bread and the new Wine. Mean while it seems we have a great Down Payment The Holy Spirit
That just came after though King Jesus return breaking Bread. Maybe focus in The blessing as its Still being blessed from the Seated Lord God ?
Old story if you bought a piece of Land you were sent a pile of it Soil it may have a certain name put in the case we're talking about here the name is Holy Spirit

I agree. The notion that a sinner can be justified before God, yet somehow not be saved sounds strange, to say the least. Paul wrote to the Roman Christians:

NKJV Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Rom 5:2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Do unsaved sinners have peace with God? Do unsaved sinners rejoice in hope of the glory of God?
