The Holy Spirit indwells believers when they accept/surrender to Jesus as Lord and is manifested mainly by divine love (Rom. 5:5, 8:9).
Theres a big difference between surrendering to Him as Lord, and surrendering our life and will over to Him.
You understand that salvation happens in a moment of belief. Even when ive proven to you the word believe is a mistranslation.
I understand the correct response to the call of the Father to be a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. That is the true faith response that starts, maintains, and completes the salvation process here on earth.
The salvation process includes acceptance by "Him", testing by Him, a grafting on by Him, all things that don't happen in your moment of belief.
I glad your talking to me again, but I don't have anything you would consider of value to you.
I understand that salvation begins at the moment of conversion/Spirit baptism when souls believe/accept Jesus as Lord and continues during the process of sanctification or living the surrendered life under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, learning to reflect His love.
I consider living the surrendered life of value.
You can't manipulate the process to fit your doctrine.
If there isn't a life surrendered at the very beginning, nothing after that is correct footing on the right path.
I call that sneaking around the altar, the altar where we sacrifice our life to Him. The first act of faithing, our first step of faith towards the caller.
You have that backwards. Saving faith is the foundation of a continually surrendered life. One does not surrender one's life without trusting (exercising faith) in the recipient of such surrender.
Thanks to being raised by Christian parents, my life has always been surrendered, because I have always loved God and never rebelled or repudiated my saving faith in Jesus as Lord.
I call that "God's Plan A for parenting".

This is something my gifted teacher spoke of alot. He was a second generation preacher, and had to loose his faith before establishing a real connection with God.
Im not saying that has happened to you, like Paul says, make sure you are in faith. Make sure you are in a continually surrendered life, a permanent covenant relationship with Christ. Of your own, not part of a first generation.
