They'd think it's putting one's self in un necessary danger which is getting close to tempting the Lord which is a position I'd agree with

If a man turns from sin, he is a non-sinner.

Calling oneself a Christian doesn't make one a Christian.

Being reborn of God's seed makes it impossible to bring forth Adam's fruit !

When a person gets born again, only their past sins are forgiven and wiped away. All sins they commit (including lying) after having been born again must be confessed and forsaken in order for them to be cleansed of those sins.
Confessing and forsaking new sins committed (including lying) after being saved would be sowing to the Spirit as to be reaping life according to what the Lord teaches in His Word in Gal 6

That "before" judgement (death) occurs at our baptism into Christ and into His death. (Rom 6:3-6)

It is written to Christians, about those who are not yet Christians. As are verses 6, 8, and 10, of 1 John 1.
If men accept the exhortations and admonitions of the writers of the NT, they will continue to walk in the light, which is God.
If they don't accept the exhortations and admonitions of the writers of the NT, they will manifest that their past repentance from sin was a lie to God.

The wages of sin is death, (Rom 6:23), but some men's sins are opened beforehand going before to judgement, (1 Tim 5:24), to judgement, so they have already been paid the wage of their sin, (Rom 6:3-6), and won't suffer a second death.
The unrepentant will both die physically, (first death), and then also die the second death in the lake of fire. (Rev 21:8)
