So we definately smelled something burning while watching TV, so me and mom went around the house and smelled to see if something was on fire. It seemed to be coming from the vents so we turned off the air and are now considering going to a hotel.

It’s very hot. Please pray we can get it fixed. I just don’t want anything on fire.

God, protect this person from any fire and allow any relief from heat that you may provide

It's either a transformer or blower motor in the furnace. Transformer is a $15-20 part blower motor is $120-650 part. Those are the only two parts that can make a smell that will go throughout the house. Also they are on the furnace not the air conditioner, the furnace moves the air for the air conditioner. NO chance of fire

edit: actually if you haven't changed your filter for a decade or ran with no filter there is a one in 10,000 chance you'll get a fire. I've only seen it once. Oh and that's ONLY if your heat is running.
