And also from people who have posted before and have not forgotten me - what an amazing testimony you all give! Some day on the other side I will meet you (I hope, at least for me! You all are going straight to God)

More people posted and I'm so grateful. Tears came to my eyes. The scripture, the love, wow, something I did not get much of as a child (to say the least). Encouragement from people I have never even met who have taken the time to uplift me. I want to be like all of you, and let go of hatred and bitterness in my heart, anger, I really, really do. THANK YOU
As you can see priestessblue, there's a whole lot of love out there and it all comes from Christ. It's a love that is true. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. When one is hurting we all are hurting. We all love you and want the best for you, so don't never feel like you are along. You have friends here on Christian Chat that care about you.
God bless you priestessblue. Go with Jesus

Sorry if I have given you this verse before, but it helps me get through life day to day.
May God bless you and keep you, Amen

2 Cor 4:16- 18
16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Amen Shekaniah, this one is worth a repeat.
It has brought me great comfort as well. :)

Hugs all and God bless.

I love you too, priestessble.

I come from I little place in the South Pacific -- only 4 and a half million people -- called New Zealand. We have no personal guns, no crack, few murders, very little pollution, least police or government corruption in the world and a low-cost public health system. The indigeonous people here, of which my wife is one, the New Zealand Maoris, are taking a greater place in society these days and slowly they are teaching our society real love, real community, courage, public speaking, and how properly to deal with deaths. There is much hope in the world, not just here, but in the United States in a hundred thousand places. I just thought I would send you this note to lift up your eyes, my friend, along with the Lord Jesus Christ, who loves you with an boundless everlasting love.

Become the one you are meant to being in Christ Jesus. That's who you should want to be and become more like. And while getting closer to Him, you will learn more through Him as well as manage letting go off hatred, bitterness and anger in your heart, as well as to manage to reach the point of forgiveness. Though don't feel bad if the healing process might take some time, because God is always in control with your life, and in His Perfect Timing for you;'You will come to this point of healing through Him, in Jesus name and blood! :)

Yes in the media in the States it is all horrible negativity now - your note did uplift me - a teenager at my church is from New Zealand and she is a lovely gal, far more mature than her American contemporaries quite frankly, visiting America, had only good things to stay, we could take a cue from you all and I do know a bit about the Maoris who must be close to the earth and therefore close to creation - God bless and thanks

That pretty much sums it up. The human race these days makes me want to jump off the Sears Tower. Me me me me me; are there good people in the world left who listen, or just people who talk? About me me me me? People who don't see you or your pain. Narcissists. It really, really depresses me.

I am asking God to guide me and left with a big ol'lump of...nothing.
God exists and if you seek Him you will find Him if you search for him with all of your heart and He will be found of you.

I have no idea where you are in seeking him but I am willing to help you if you desire to find him. When you find Him you will NEVER turn away. He is simply too amazing and discovering his light and life is fantastic.

A lot of the times I have noticed that us as humans base a lot of our feelings on what we have or do not have. This is misguided, putting self worth into worthless material things we do not possess can lead to depression and lower our self esteem. Having faith in the Lord, HIS love, knowing we fight a battle everyday vs evil and that we're on the winning side should help to make you realize the world is yours. Remember, you are here for a reason and being here, strong, is important to the fight. Learn to thwart evil and its "depressions", it's an illusion, typically based on things that truly do not matter in the grand scheme of things.

The Lord gives us everything we need and there isn't much to be depressed about. Life is beautiful even at its worst moments. It's okay to fall victim to pain and sadness but recovering through GOD and realizing us as humans understand very little about GOD's PLAN should ease the pain. Continue to work on being mentally stronger, it's just like any other exercise we do to improve ones self.

Depression doesn't mean there is no God, it's just that we're living in a world where sins are very much prevalent and we're paying the price however, i believe there's a purpose why it happens. One of the reason is that our faith is being tested that as christians, how long are we willing to sacrifice to show our love for Christ. It also serve as a life lesson to each and everyone of us and to be a better christian.

just my thoughts.
