Lord, I thank you that temptation is not sin, for even Jesus was tempted in the wilderness in Matthew 4

temptation is when we first desire but do not yet entertain the desire ~ @OneOfHis explaining sinful desires

satan lied
he said that "happiness is impossible without sin"

shut up, satan! you are a father of lies and you will go to the pits of hell (and God knows that this part is meant for satan)

Luke 10:20 can refute that stupid lie form satan
Luke 10:20 - rejoice that your name is written in heaven

rejoice, therefore happiness is also possible outside (keyword: outside) of sin

1 Cor 10:13 - God will always lead us a way out
Praise the Lord

even if Satan create in us the worst possible fear and feelings of discomfort about "remaining in purity", and even if Satan drown us "into the heart of the sea" of discomfort, may we not fear, (Psalms 46:2) nor be consumed with anxiety (Phil 4:6-7) and may it be true that faith is invincible, and that no weapons can form against faith (Psalms 46:9), and that even a mustard seed sized faith (the size that will take a magnifying glass to see it) can move spiritual mountains

I believe, help my unbelief

for more information on faith
https://christianchat.com/bible-dis...-super-sized-magnitudes-even-possible.185650/

and I thank my God who is sovereign in thread ideas, for one thread can help and contribute to another, as God can change from glory to glory, from everlasting to everlasting

and also, Jesus can reveal himself as "faith in Jesus" who can help make it possible to be "ok" with "the void of any selfish pleasures"

and I don't have to worry about "neglecting any aspect" to make sure to perfect the strategy against sin, nor try to make sure that it's "air-tight" because Jesus is the author, the finisher and the perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), the Holy spirit is our advocate, reminding us of all truth (John 14:6), and we can trust him (Proverbs 3:5-6)

and we should never compromise, or else, how can we possibly "arouse my own people to envy and save some of them" (Romans 11:14)

sin has no mercy on you, so have no mercy on getting rid of sin

this is war,

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.(Ephesians 6:12)

and even if I fantasize shouting at sin "Stop right there!" and angrily walk up to it, with a metaphorical handgun pointing at sin's ugly head, and verbally express my hatred at it like "sin, you did nothing but deceitful promises that leave people in bondage and misery, and that is reason enough to hate you", before putting a bullet in it's ugly head

not against flesh and blood, clearly meaning, what I just fantasized here won't help, but James 4:7 - submit to God, resist the devil, and satan will flee from you

vengeance belongs to God, God will replay (Romans 12:19) it was all finished on the cross, sin was dealt with

guard your heart and ask God to help us enjoy God's purity, and the joy of Jesus

I thank you that we can say our prayers at our comfortable pace, and that we can say it slowly and meditatively, as if prayerful intent can still exist, even in pauses, as God even exist in the quiet, like the void of Genesis 1:2.
Phil 4:8 can also apply to Genesis 1:2 as well

and my God be praised for his creativity, for he is our creator

and I quote many scripture here, why? Psalms 119:11 - I have hid thy word in thy heart that I might not sin against thee

and let's forget about legalism, why? ...

The flesh would commit even the most blatantly known sin
Therefore, legalism is useless

and legalism is dead, the law of the letter is dead, it's just a school master, showing us the need for grace
grace is alive, and we are a new creation in Christ

and just incase if anyone decide to "doubt my salvation"

I will share a small glimpse of God's resume, and
I refuse to leave any possible holes in our armor for satan to exploit and abuse

may God's creditentials be praised ...
Somehow my "inner persona" softened and become "child-like", I saw myself as if I'm a little child "wishing upon a star" or "feeling excited to receive a Christmas gift" as if expecting to see something

special, and I prayed with an inner child, "I want you in my life"
this is my favorite part of my own testimony,

I was the anointed sinner, incase if anyone is curious, but no, I'm not the anointed loser, instead, I'm a winner, and we are more than conquerers in Christ (Romans 8:37)

He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. (Mark 10:14-16)

this whole thread was quite preacher moment here,

if revival is possible, then let's have a revival

Back somewhere closer to the day of my salvation, guessing 2 months after I got saved, I think I had vague awareness of Jesus saying "my child, enough said" while I was venting on paper about struggles

I'm not even sure how I sensed Jesus, and ... if I were to guess at the hand gesture, it's probably laying his hand on my shoulder as if trying to calm me while trying to assure me "my child, enough said"

for a long time, I didn't feel any of that, for reasons I'm not sure of, but I sensed it once back then and almost forgot about it

And I copy and paste my rant in the following ...

Rant:
yes there's still sinful desires in my heart, but think of it this way

can secular wisdom change our heart for purity? if it could, then we wouldn't have saved mountains of sin

if it could, then we wouldn't have to "give in" to sin.

if it could, then ...

Jesus just told me, "my child, enough said"

ok, the point is, for purity, secular wisdom is not an option

I truly love HIM! HE has never forsaken nor cheated nor lied to me! MY JESUS. I AM POSSESSIVE OF HIM!
wow, what a contrast between these two extreme reactions
