I hate having animals die. We have a special needs son. Please don't think that means what typically comes to mind. He is violent and belligerent, cursing, hitting, it is sad and heartbreaking, yet he hits his mother, our 9 year old daughter, teachers, others and myself, but only one time. He also tried to stab me in the face with a fork.

We had a black lab named Raven. They are gentle, loyal, loving. But she turned very angry. We found he was hitting her, and even the neighbors noted she became aggressive and skittish too. But it was too late!

She bit a cousin, drew a little blood, atried to attack a 2 year old neighbor girl, but thankfully she was leashed. We were SHOCKED until we found d out he was abusing her as our daughter got me to show me one day. Lastly she bit our little girl, both canines went through under the bottom of her lip, all because she went to pet her.

I had to put her down! Saddest thing ever, and it took a lot of strength for me not to turn around and stop the veterinarian! :cry::(

That had to completely break you and yours hearts, OUCH!!!! You had no choice.

Mummy's gonna end your pain tomorrow"..

Until Tequila died, I had forgotten how much it hurts to have to set them free. But it's necessary. Rusty and Tequila weren't mine. They were God's, and He needed them back. God is calling your doggy, Renee. It's up to you to answer that call and do the right thing for her. God needs her back, and she'll be in the best place possible. :)

I think Deror's suggestion of asking your dog if SHE is ready, is an excellent idea. Animals know when they're sick, and they know when they're dying. They also know whether or not to keep going, despite their pain. So ask doggy if she is ready to go, and tell her it's okay for her to go. Read her eyes, they will tell you her answer.

Oh gosh, he’s sounds beautiful! Golden eyes, aw. I’d melt. My dog Sandy, cos his fur was the colour of sand.. his eyes were like milk chocolate brown. 🥰 Gentle eyes, he had such a nice temperament.

I heard it somewhere that a humans eyes never age, even though the rest of our bodies age, but our eyes stay the same as we age everywhere else.. I don’t know how true it is, it might be and i wonder if the same goes for cats and dogs 🤔 aw, your cat must’ve been awesome, I’m sure they really do communicate with us in their own special ways :)

Oh gosh, I’m sure Rusty felt your love big time that night.. I’m sure you comforted him so much, I'm sure he knew exact,y what you were saying, I’m sure they feel our love and know they are loved.

I’ve watched a lot of stories recently about rescue animals.. who get saved and restored to health, one dog had no fur and I honestly thought that’s how he naturally was but when a sanctuary place fed him, cared for him and he had somewhere warm to sleep, his fur all grew back, he looked a different dog!! He changed from withdrawn to all bouncing around, tail wagging. Yep, they do belong to Father God , how awesome He is to allow us to have them as pets to enjoy each other’s company and create many amazing memories with them, but yes, sadly, He needs them back at some point.
