  • I am confused. As a non-Christian, I find the spirituality of Christianity attractive. On the other hand, my background is in science and I find that the lack of logical consistency troubling. Is it as Mark Twain remarked "“having faith is believing in something you just know ain't true”?

Welcome, Larry. I assure Mark T now knows a lot more than when he made that comment. I just hope he is on the side of TRUTH. On that note, you will find the science in God's word explicitly interesting. The prophecies that came true on Christ alone defy mathematical comprehension.

There are plenty of Nobel prize-winning scientists who are also Christian. Science and Christianity do not have to be at odds with each other! That is a logical fallacy... Also, faith is NOT believing something you know is not true. Mark Twain was full of it LOL

Mans conjured faith is not the same as God given true saving faith.
Man says hmmm…look at the wonders of the world, and the spectacular universe, and childbirth, and love, yeah I think I choose to believe in God. He decides with the mind.
God grants you the ability to believe in your heart, and it’s moving and powerful and there’s no denying it. You have to believe in your heart. God looks at the heart.

Even after his death and resurrection Jesus still played the role of a humble servant.
