    Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them

They WERE done by people, the apostles, as well as those on whom they laid their hands such as Stephen, as noted in Acts 5:8 8And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Not done by people for sure.

    Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them

What I know is what the scriptures say and they clearly say that the miraculous gifts, as I just stated to someone else here, have ceased since they were manifested by the laying on of the apostle's hands ler the scriptures I cited, and the apostles have been dead for a very long time.

    Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them

Believe what you like, but the miraculous gifts have ceased long ago as have the apostles by whom the gifts were manifested.

So tell us exactly what you've been shown or told. What word of wisdom? What word of knowledge? What exactly was involved on your discernment of spirits? What wad said in your "tongues" and to whom? What exactly was revealed to you?

    Baptizing

That's not what the scriptures say. What is deliverance? If you mean saved from our sins, that's salvation, and the scriptures are quite clear when you become saved. Acts 2:38. That same scripture also tells you that's when you receive the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. A ts 2:38 38Then Peter...

So, what miraculous gifts do you possess and have demonstrated?

    Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them

I've explained this before. There are 2 instances recorded in Acts wherein the Spirit fell unilaterally without the laying on of the apostle's hands and in both instances it was for a sign, to validate what was occurring by on high, and to establish the church. The first is in Acts 2 on the day...

    Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them

I don't want to belabor this, but for clarification for you and your edification, the spiritual gifts were imparted by the laying on of the apostle's hands. No more apostles = no more miraculous gifts. Also, don't confuse the gift, singular, of the Holy Spirit or Ghost (Acts 2:38), with the...

    Spiritual gifts: Unconfusing them

Very difficult subject (spiritual gifts) which is why there's so much controversy, and equally difficult to unravel and explain. But let me explain it this way. First, look at the way Paul started his letter to the Corinthians starting at 1 Cor1:10 where he's discussing contentions and...

    Baptizing

It's not who is right but what is right which is the bible. I could care less if you or anyone agrees with me or being right. It's a matter of looking at God's word correctly and disseminating the information. Goodbye

    Baptizing

It's obvious that the paragraph is describing the same people; "the church of God which is at Corinth", "them that are sanctified", and "called to be saints" are describing tge same group of people who are the sanctified saints at Corinth. 1 Cor 1:2(kjv) "2Unto the church of God which is at...

The perfect man, in their future. The perfecting of the body of Christ at Corinth since they had many issues and problems such as division, wherein they would no longer require the various piecemeal gifts of the Spirit. Read the Cor letters to understand their issues. The letter was to THEM not...

    Baptizing

It didn't? What is "that which is perfect"? What foes it mean and what did it mean to the Corinthians at the time the letter was written to them?

    Baptizing

You are not understanding Acts 10 and Acts 2 when the Holy Ghost fell unilaterally on the people without the laying on of the apostle's hands. In Acts 2 it fell on the the apostle's: why? As a sign to the unbelieving Jews who were then converted. And in Acts 10, it fell on the Gentiles also as a...

    Baptizing

Water baptism IS required today just as in biblical NT times for salvation. You cannot be saved without being baptized nor prior to it and actually receive the gift of the Holy Ghost or Spirit upon being baptized (Acts 2:38). "38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of...

    Baptizing

Don't let pre-conceived notions or your personal bias and gut feelings buide you but rather review all the scriptures and let them be the guide. The bible says the below. Don't become trapped and a victim of the opinions of man. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man...

Also, I read another of your responses to someone else stating you were sprinkled as an infant. You weren't baptized! You were sprinkled. Two distinctly different Greek words which are not interchangeable. Baptism comes from the Greek word baptizo which means to dip, plunge, immerse and it's not...
