    Would "Corruptible Things" Include Water?

Hiya…. I’m not sure, but I think that God is basically telling us here that we cannot be saved by the traditions of man or anything that our parents did—that salvation is only through the blood of Jesus. There may be a deeper teaching; I ain’t scholarly enough. :)

    Do the non-elect have free-will?

I was rereading some of the posts on this thread and, lo and behold, I had accidentally given you one of those “old” (alarm clock) reactions. Oops! I fixed it, and I apologize. :giggle: and thanks for the kind words.

    Do the non-elect have free-will?

Yes, very true and thanks for that. …. And Satan continues to try to thwart our Father’s gracious plan, but we know that Satan will be destroyed in the end. God will always have the victory, and in Him, so will we, those of us who stick with His plan. The devil, who deceived them, was cast...

    Do the non-elect have free-will?

It’s important I’m beginning to think that there is no such thing as non-elect—only elect and free will. You’re either elect or not—Just like a lion cannot be a non-lion.:) In a nutshell, the following is my understanding: Our Father is eternal and He created all souls in His eternal...

So you think a person can know the Truth of God’s Word and not believe it? In other words, they simply reject God?

    Do the non-elect have free-will?

Why can you not understand that God only chose some, not all, people for His purpose. …like the apostles, the prophets, or whatever He needed them to accomplish for Him. Are you jealous of the Elect? Look at Paul. He was chosen. Was his life easy? heck no. And Jeremiah—he was called the...

I don’t think that the parable of the sower is referring to young children. Did you understand the teaching of the parable?

    Do the non-elect have free-will?

It’s not what I say; it’s what the Bible says. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be...

    Predestination is misunderstood...

I’m thinking that they (the tares) just don’t get it; they don’t understand the Gospel. Why? … because they have no ears to hear. Consider the parable of the sower: Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: "Behold, a sower went out to sow. "And as he sowed, some seed fell by the...
