Fellow Christians? We’re talking about Catholics right? A Christian has way different beliefs than Catholics, and all the other ones mentioned above. They’re still people, don’t get me wrong, but to say they’re Christian is to include all the other ones - LDS, JWs, Buddhists, HKs, Muslims, etc...

Why study a cult? Yes, it’s a very old and entrenched cult, but Catholicism is in the same category with LDS, JWs, Islam, Satanism, Buddhism, Hari Krishna, Scientology. I would almost include Calvinism since it skirts the edge of a cult. Deception is impossible to overcome without the Holy Spirit.
