The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

Here’s how you must interpret 1 John 2. If verses 2 is talking only of the world of the elect, then so too you must interpret the rest of that phrase in the same manner.😂 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world of the elect...

What is the difference between Evangelicals and Protestants?

There are very few evangelical churches left today in the states. Most are more interested in having on campus events and socials. The biblical method of evangelism is public preaching and house to house.

Bible verses that help us understand the rapture

Agreed. I'm just pointing out that the tribulation period is only 42 months, not 7 years. Jacob's trouble is 3.5 years. The church will not be around for that. The first half of Daniel's week is peace.

    God's Intervention?

More straw man arguments. I said plainly that God is in control. Period. Agreed. I also pointed to the fact that there are declarations of God having set forth things from the foundations of the world. Period. Agreed, but not all things. I also pointed to the fact that there were people He knew...

    God's Intervention?

Exactly, prayer can cause things to happen that would have never happened, but because we pray, God steps in and makes a way. The only thing we are disagreeing on is God's foreknowledge of future events that are not in his word. I believe God is working in and through all of man's choices to...

    God's Intervention?

Sovereignty is not a biblical term. It is a term used by Calvinists. God does not determine all things. You have not addressed the book of Jonah nor Hezekiah's prayer nor what David knew about God. Until you address these, you will not fully understand that God is reachable with our prayers.

Bible verses that help us understand the rapture

I try not to equate Daniel’s 70th week with the great tribulation, the time of Jacob’s trouble. The great tribulation is 42 months, which is fulfilled during the last 42 months of Daniel’s 70th week. I believe the body of Christ will be on earth for the first half of Daniel’s week, then...

    God's Intervention?

Did God have foreknowledge that Nineveh would repent and in turn, he would repent and not do what he said? 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

    God's Intervention?

No, according to how the bible defines God. I believe God is perfect in knowledge. If there is knowledge to be known, God knows it. I also believe that there are future events and decisions that are not knowledge until made. I believe God has chosen to limit his knowledge when dealing within...

    God's Intervention?

If God knew ahead of time, that makes God to be a liar. God is not a liar, but gracious.

    God's Intervention?

God intended for Adam and Eve, man, to live in righteousness and obedience. They did not.

    God's Intervention?

If you believe God controls all things to occur. Why pray? Why evangelize if God already chooses all things? Are we mere robots living out what God has intended?

    God's Intervention?

Why would you assume that God is caught by surprise? Many things my kids have done, I did not have foreknowledge of, but I was not caught by surprise. That's no a good argument.

    God's Intervention?

Are you stating that sin was God's determined outcome? That's a fatalist RCC doctrine from Jerome and Calvin.

    God's Intervention?

Do you believe in the power of prayer? Can prayer change things? Is God reachable through our prayers?

The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

This is your logic, but it's not scripture. Scripture states that the "reconciling effects of the death of Christ" is for all and upon all them that believe. Calvinism is an offshoot of the Greek philosophy fatalism. It infiltrated the RCC and now many protestant denominations.
