    Why Come Here?

After considerable reflection, it seems clear that I am firmly non-denominational. Everything a Pastor says, I question. From here on, I will make strong use of the Ignore button. I want to know God and him more fully. The KJV is a flawed resource but It seems good enough to start me on my way...

    OH, get over it !

Not being a professional Psychologist, it rattles me to see people being all angry and yellie. I was raised with lots of that and still freak out when a man yells.

    Agreed, Thank you.

    Genesis 4:5

The slaying of Abel was way beyond the pale. Perhaps Cain gave gleanings rather than the best of the crop?

    Genesis 4:5

I did read the incident and still do not understand it. I am not questioning God. I am not God.

    Genesis 4:5

I obey God because of who he is and I am accepting that I will not always understand his actions. I am going to go read that story, and pray to see if it feels better.

    OH, get over it !

I'm seeing people act completely insane over all this and it seems so futile. Look at the Pandemic after wwI, then called the Spanish Flu. Looking at Wiki, 50.000,000 people died from it. Presently, it looks like between 4 and 5,000,000 have died. Some professionals are saying it will be over by...

    Fearing God

I'll most ADAMANTLY NOT serve a Christian denomination after what happened to me. Remember the OT story where the troops were instructed to fall back and let one of theirs be killed in battle? It's in there with the way that David got Bathsheba. Yeah, that is sort of the way it happened to me...

    Fearing God

A sugar daddy is a man that a woman attaches herself to where he showers her with gifts. I think we all know someone who sees God that way.

Thank you to those who responded and to those who thought good thoughts. I'll try to be more stable.

    Why Come Here?

I was ignorant when I came here. I wanted to study scripture calmly and in love and never dreamed that denominational Christians would lash out at me with such vehemence. There has been enough of that in my life and that is put away. There are hateful things that could be said about any group...

The truth about Muhammad "Feedback appreciated"

I practiced Sunni Islam from 2005 to 2012 and still carry much of what I learned with me. My sole reservation about Islam is what I see as their questionable interpretation of who Jesus the Christ (ISA PBUH) is. He is seen as the best prophet. Somehow many Muslims see Muhammad as the best...

The truth about Muhammad "Feedback appreciated"

Not playing games with you. I only know of the Yusuf Ali Interpretation of the Classical Arabic, which is not spoken or understood today. As to satanic parts of Islam, that is of questionable value. I was a practicing Muslim from 2005 until at least 2012. Do you have any idea why I would not...

    Genesis 4:5

It is doubtful to me that we actually know those things about Cain and Abel.

The truth about Muhammad "Feedback appreciated"

You are entitled to write the Qur'an off if you wish. I see it as part of history from an academic point of view. I have experienced Pastors attack the Qur'an and Islam out of complete ignorance and it is saddening. If they can't get that right, then how can I trust their council on other matters?

    Fearing God

Thank you, mashallah. I get yelled at a lot, a consequence of really trying to know God, and to not treat him like a sugar daddy.

    Genesis 4:5

I'm sorry, I get overcome by emotion at times and can not think straight. I love God and his work but I am not God and frequently what is going on around me is beyond my understanding. At these times I feel like weeping in sorrow for the lost.
