The offer of Salvation is universal, but the application is only : "by Faith".

Your verse says.."the work of GOD". The way to understand this is to think of it like this. "What God requires"... is "the work of God" that you are to do. See, with God, all things are by faith. For example..."without Faith, it is impossible to Please God".

The offer of Salvation is universal, but the application is only : "by Faith".

Actually, Jesus is the Gift. And Faith is your responsibility, as God requires it of you. He does not cause it for you, as if He did that, He would not require that you BELIEVE.

    apostleship of Paul

Actually James says nothing about being "Justified" before other people, including believers. What He says, is..... "i'll show YOU my faith by my works". So, that has nothing to do with "justification by faith" that God requires, and Paul preaches//teaches as "Pauline Theology". James is...

The offer of Salvation is universal, but the application is only : "by Faith".

God would not require you to Believe, if He caused you to believe. The Faith that God REQUIRES, is that you do it......not that He makes you. So, your CALVINISM, is not related to God, Christ, or Truth. God REQUIRES, you, to use your free will = to BELIEVE. Believing is an ACT of Faith, not a...

what does it mean to be a born again christian ?

Water baptism can't cause you to be born again. And that explains why thousands of people who are water baptized, went to Hell today, yesterday, and tomorrow. Jesus said "you must be born again"..........if you want to go to Heaven, as that is the reason you go. And there is no other reason...
