If Scripture says God is a God of Justice then why is there so much INjustice?

I think that's a great question. suppose God killed everyone as soon as they were about to cause harm to someone else. then he would have killed Adam as soon as he ate the fruit. or maybe Eve, whichever one sinned first. or maybe both of them. would the world be a better place?

the Jews that Paul is talking about in Romans 10:2. I suggest we focus on having a zeal of the true God. then I think the question about worshipping will be easier to talk about. thank you for your answer, but I believe what I had asked was if believing Jesus was the same as worshipping God...

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

that's a great idea! A thing I like to keep in mind, if a person's interpretation in the end is contradicted by something stated in the passage, then the interpretation cannot be correct. would you agree with that? you are correct, that it is not stated Jews worship the same God as Christians...

but it's not what I say. I was demonstrating the outcome of using your approach. I was showing what would happen if I went by what you say. do you honestly believe that everyone who believes that Jews have a zeal for the true God cannot be a Christian? if so, then you would have to say that I...

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

no, I didn't say that the Catholics built a strong Church. I said that Jesus promised that he would. "rather, it glorifies Jesus when we see that he built a very strong Church, as he promised!'

then maybe we can come to an understanding by talking about Jews and Christians. I think that will be easier since there are many verses about Jews in the scriptures. is believing Jesus the same as worshipping God, in your mind? in my mind, believe in Jesus and worshiping God are different...

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

well, then to be fair, Paul (or the translator) has to say the same thing here. Romans 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. he either has to say that Jews have a zeal of the father only, or he has to say that Jews only think they have a zeal...

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

the issue I have with that approach is that it means that anyone who I think does not respect all of the teachings of Jesus as I understand them is not a Christian. as an example, I will demonstrate how your approach would work in this conversation. since you do not respect the teaching of...

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

that's true! I think it's also true that Jews have a zeal for the true God. when we're done talking about that, there's at least one other scripture scripture I can think of that talk about Jews worshipping the true God.

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

we talked about Hindus and pagans earlier in the thread. anything I say now would basically be a repeat. so in the interest of keeping things simple, I suggest we focus on Jews and Christians for the moment. I hope that as time goes by you will come to see it is not an insult to Jesus. rather...

Trump: Michigan's Man of the year... or not?

of all the presidents I've heard, I like JFK's style of presentation the best and Ronald Reagan is a close second. Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln-Douglas debates actually takes significant mental aptitude to follow, imo.

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

I'm happy to answer your questions, but a problem I foresee is that the thread will develop too many subtopics. it sounds like you basically want to show that there are many reasons that Catholics cannot be Christians, in your view. for the moment, I suggest we resolve the question of whether...

    Catholicism vs Protestantism

it sounds like, then, you are saying that if a Protestant believes that Jews and Christians are worshiping the same God, that they just don't really know what's going on. do you believe that I know what's going on? if I say that Jews and Christians worship the same God, am I just misinformed...
