Shotokan is excellent. My style, Shorinryu, has ties to that tradition. Christ is number One. That does not conflict with my training, and it's actually a symbiotic relationship.

Because I teach an Okinawan-based karate, I need to translate Christ into that tradition. Many students do not know this, but when students reference Christianity, I am happy to elaborate :). When I bow to my sensei's (past and present), I am ultimately bowing to my Lord and Savior, Jesus!
