Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

It does say that. It says, "all of which he hath given me". To be raised up, biblically speaking, is to be given eternal life. Consider that verse in conjunction with these verses: [2Co 4:14-15 KJV] 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

I didn't use the word "church". But I think that this verse shows that all whom the Father gave to Christ without exception, will be raised on the last day. They could be considered Christ's true church. There are others in the post I think that say the same thing. [Jhn 6:39 KJV] 39 And this...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

Maybe a better reply would have been to say that the Saviour must be the one who saves and does so fully and completely. If He doesn't, can't or won't do that, then He isn't the Saviour. But Christ did do that and did so to perfection. [2Pe 3:18 KJV] 18 But grow in grace, and [in] the...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

I think just Christ's title of Saviour should inform us of all that we need to know about salvation and of how it occurs. Nevertheless, the Bible is full of them. Off the top I think these inform us of that. I just woke up and not thinking too clearly right now so there may be other better ones...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

Yes, it is abundantly clear, and it isn't what you say. Those whom Christ paid for (bought) must be saved or He is not the Saviour. But Christ is the Saviour, and so they will be saved - it's just as simple as that.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

[2Pe 2:1 KJV] 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. [2Pe 2:3 KJV] 3 And through covetousness shall...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

Yeah, I think it's the false prophets who had been bought part where we disagree. I don't think false prophets are included in the bought group. I think this is confirmed by 2:9. It tells us there that the godly (those justified by Christ) because of the Lord's intervention, cannot follow a...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

I realize it can be very difficult to see the very subtle distinction in the wording of this verse and understand how you could come to that conclusion (and I'm not doing a too good job of explaining it either), but I believe that a distinction exists. The "them", I believe, are those who were...

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

They were among the people but not of those bought, hence the word "among".

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

the false teachers will be destroyed, not the elect. The destructive heresies denying the sovereign LORD who bought the elect will be introduced by the false teachers, and by that, they who brought in the heresies - the false teachers - will be destroyed.

[Gal 5:2-4 KJV] 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye...

Last time. [Gal 6:15-16 KJV] 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace [be] on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

Guess you can't hear - at least not yet. Anyway, with your last statement we're done for now.

Can the nonelect ever be born-again? (2 Kings 22:27) With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.

That prophet is Christ. To hear is to hear spiritually with spiritual ears that are given, not earthly ears. One only receives spiritual hearing from becoming born-again: [Jhn 8:43, 47 KJV] 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because ye cannot hear my word. ... 47 He that is of God...
