So, the kids spend an hour learning Math, an hour learning Science, an hour learning English, an hour learning history, and then, instead of an hour learning a foreign language to be a more well rounded person English is the only subject we dedicate second hour to? Are you thinking the kids who can't read or write English would be better able to if they didn't have to take a foreign language class? Cause I'd suggest that if they're struggling in their English class it might reflect more on them as a student, or maybe their teacher, but probably has little to do with them learning Spanish or French any more than it has to do with them learning Algebra.
