I've been having a lot of issues with staying connected in the chat and wouldn't mind some feedback/suggestions to try. :) So far I have tried...

- Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash.
- Clearing my cookies which automatically clear when I click out of IE also.
- Using DSL and Dial-Up as a connection.
- Choosing to not hear speakers in the room. (which I would rather hear) :)

I would say that I get disconnected from the room at least 3x within 15 mins. Does anyone else have this problem as often as I do?

Any feedback would be appreciated! :) And thank you to Ugly for all the help thus far! :D

I've heard of numerous people having connection problems with the chat here. :( I'm fortunate to have not had many problems (I very seldom get disconnected), but perhaps try a different web browser and see what happens. I really don't think IE is the problem, but it's worth a shot. In fact, if you're running Windows XP - and therefore running IE 8 instead of IE 9 - then there's a chance it could be that (but again, I doubt it).

If it's not a physical connection problem to the internet (pages with and without flash load fine for you, right?), then it's something software related, me thinks. Good luck!

judging by the amount of thees type of posts i see my opinion is that the problem resides not with your system but within the site or server it looks to be a time-out problem
chances are Robo knows and is doing everything he can to resolve it

Thank you both for your responses! :)

Siberian -I am using Windows 7 and have used IE and recently tried Firefox and have gotten disconnected on both. But not worries, I still get on from time to time to see what others are up to. :) But like ex-Ranger said, chances are it is getting worked. :)

Thank you both again!

I have found that consistently people who have problems with chat have internet speeds that just won't support the information flow that takes place in chat. On the rare occasions that I have problems I've found that my DSL speeds have dropped off. In other words it's an internet provider issue in my opinion.

i agree ^ the reason i did not mention this in my earlier post was due to the steady increse of "disconnected form chat" posts i have been seeing, that increase suggests that the problem may not just be fluctuations in connection speed, or now that people are seeing others post this issue they feel inclined to report that there having similar issues when they otherwise would have just assumed that it was just their connection and not said anything

I had to stop using IE all together. I kept getting kicked and, also, it wouldn't pull up Bible Gateway correctly. Using Google Chrome now and rarely get kicked. Heard Firefox is better, though. Good luck!

I use IE and never have any problems, so in my opinion that has nothing to do with it, do you have the latest version of adobe flash player installed?

I have to agree. Usually the internet goes down when I lose connection. Or I'm on YouTube, FB, or some other site and the connection can't handle it.

Kimber -Thanks, haven't tried in about a week maybe but will need to soon. :)

See_KING -Yep, I sure do. Installed it from the website. :)

Viloakat -I will have to try having every other window closed and see if that does the trick. :)

Thank you all for the answers! It's been a minute since I've gone in the chats, may have to try again soon with some suggestions. :)

You'd be surprised, although I'm not saying it most definitely is the problem in this case. I just don't care for IE. It's more universally compatible, but has some flaws and drawbacks.

I gather that is the fault of your ISP (internet service provider), more than it is just the speed. And OP mentioned she's tried using DSL, which should be fine for a chat channel. Hard to say, really. :/

I meant for the last half that I lose connection on CC when I'm on YouTube, or other multiple sites. Sorry for the confusion. Although, Internet Connection, I would agree, would be my provider.
