Which isnt long but, I thought I would share with what God Has done for my life and the people surrounding my life, I used to drink and party and hang out with the cool group or should I say the group I thought was cool back in high school. It all started in 2005, I was on the football team for my high school, I was the leader I was the main guy they went to every single down or every play and I guess you could say I was the Jock that everybody hated but, honestly? It wasnt enough, I would get depressed alot when I would go home because I had soo many girls that would call me I could't figure out which ones to date but, one year after that my life drastically got bad.
my best friend of 5 years hanged himself in front of me, my mother got diagnosed with a problem in her body that I will not discuss but, it was really bad though, my dad quit talking to me for about 7 months which was pretty hard because me and my dad were really close during my teen years, my aunt died of cancer, my uncle died of a heart attack, my great grandma died the following week after or before my uncle died and it seemed like everything was falling apart but, then thats when I realized I needed God in my life more than anything, my girlfriend of 2 years left me for her ex boyfriend before me and that's when I got into my mind I needed to go to church. I went to a church service near my hometown here in kentucky and the pastor preached on God can change your life today if you will let him, so before the altar call even started I walked down the aisle and I praised god and told God that if he would take this pain away I would serve him until the day I die. From then on I have been serving the lord and that was back in 2007 and I am currently working as a youth pastor at my church and its been the best time ive had in a long time. I quit drinking, partying, looking for girls and honestly the only thing I do now is Keep my eyes on Jesus because hes the only answer.
