What about singing and dancing? Dose anyone still enjoy, or still do these anymore?

Ya know I haven't slow danced in a long time. I miss it. Has slow dancing kind of gone away or do people just don't do it anymore?

I sing all of the time, but probably not too well (although definitely better than when I was younger).

Dancing?

I was never into club dancing...not even before I became a Christian. I mentioned recently that 2 or 3 women at work like me (I am definitely not a "ladies' man," so I am not trying to give that impression at all), and they are into that stuff. In fact, one of them was dropping hints about going to a club with me just a few days ago, but I would never even consider that.

I did always like slow dancing...but that requires a partner, which I do not have. On that note, although I do not often listen to secular music, I sometimes listen to Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing with myself" because I can relate to some of the lyrics.

I didn't mean like going to a club....I just meant like dancing. In the kitchen or like .....I don't know but slow dancing. I don't go out much nevermind to a club.... I'm all set with that kind of stuff.

Thanks for clarifying. I did not really think that you meant club dancing, but I mentioned it because every time in the last few years that a woman has shown interest in me, that type of dancing came up in conversation. I am not suggesting that the women were Christians, because I really did not/presently do not know too much about them or their beliefs, but that is what a lot of women by me are into, and I have no interest in that type of thing whatsoever. The 2 or 3 women at work all work in different departments than I do, so our paths only cross periodically. Anyhow, I am really not into the whole "dating scene" type of thing. If I was looking for someone, then it would be a relationship which would develop naturally.

Well, I am sure that you would much rather get responses from the women here, so I will just go back to sitting in the corner...lol.

I could easily foresee you meeting someone here. You seem like a good guy, and I sincerely hope that you do find someone. There are certainly some good catches here. Let down your line, and see what happens. If you reel in an old army boot, then that was probably meant for me...lol.

There is someone out there for you. I'll give you the boot and the women's foot that it goes to she will be yours. She must be outdoors like? Or maybe it's a rain boot?

The lord has someone for us, if it be in his will.

Until then ....my broom sweeps good lol

I like dancing and singing though slow dancing is just warm up for faster dancing me thinks.

I saw people still barn dance at the RSA though I never got into the moves. They know how to do it. They also like country and western songs there which can put you to sleep after a while as they can be quite mournful.

yea for karaoke but I have yet to bust a move dancing AS WELL as singing as I dont want to shock anyone in public. Just do that in the living room.
 
I can't remember the last time I slow danced with anyone, but if I ever got to again and can remember how, I'm sure it would be nice. 😊

Slow dancing was a giant thing in the 40's-60's, ergo the name baby boomers, lol. There was American Bandstand that featured rock n roll & slow dancing on TV and many clubs for dancing back then. Not too common now unless there are start-up groups that meet. What about a 'CC Slow or Fast Dance Meet' once or twice a year 😍
