He gave them the land forever but only if they obeyed Him...
sorry bro but this gets old. SOmeone did this to another thread to me, I pray you do not open another thread to mock me like she did.
Gen 15: To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates— 19 the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, 20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, 21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”
Gen 17: 8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
Can you please show me the conditions God gave when he made and confirmed this presence to abraham? This is when God made, signed and sealed this covenant, For a covenant to be binding, all conditions must be stated. so where are the conditions?
but this could not be, for we both know the world will end some day, and the laws of entropy will not apply, but the world as we know it can't go on forever, the sun will eventually burn out.
Well I think we both know God will destroy this world, and build a new one.
When the land of canaan (or whatever you want to call it) is gone, There is no land for the covenant to be fulled anymore.
what matters is, Did God fulfill his promise as long as it was in existance?
