I acknowledge that pisteuo involves surrender, which involves entrusting our spiritual well being to Christ.

Strong's Greek: 4100. πιστεύω (pisteuó) -- To believe, to have faith, to trust

A life lived inspired by such surrender follows having been saved by grace through faith.

Salvation is by grace through faith by surrendering our trust in Christ alone for salvation and faithing which follows is an active process of living out that trust and surrender day by day in the process of ongoing sanctification.

Just to make a beginning note, the Strongs gives a disclaimer on the definition of pisteuo by saying, PISTEUO MEANS NOT JUST TO BELIEVE. but reliance upon, committed unto, to be committed unto.

And your using the word trust alot. Trust is based upon the foundational definition of a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. In other words your trusting that He accepts the surrendered life.
If they wanted to highlight trust on its own they would have used the Greek words for trust.
Out of the 248 times pisteuo is used, it's only used 3 times as trust.

The predominant Greek word for trust is elpizo used 18 times.

We surrender by trusting in Christ alone for salvation and a life inspired by such surrender is the demonstrative evidence of our trust and surrender to Christ as Savior.

In other words your trusting that He accepts the surrendered life.

I'm trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of my salvation. I think it's you who is trusting that He accepts your surrendered life (works) for salvation.
