Christianity has one of the bloodiest histories of any religion. Islam is similar. Hindus have gone to war. Ancient Egyptian Maat's golden rule was 'do not to the other what you do not want to be done to you' and yet Egyptians kept slaves and went to war several times.

Buddhist people are no different. Some of them fight against the precepts of their own religion.

The fact that it happens does not negate anything I've said. Whomever kills, no-matter what religion, army or group they belong to, is a killer. The fact that religions fight only compounds the issue of revenge killing and endless war. It is no less disgusting because one or another does it.

These Israeli families suffered, as do the Palestinian families and all those who have lost sons, mothers, daughters, fathers, sisters and brothers, too. You people might call yourselves arbiters of justice but there is no justice in murdering innocents in retaliation for the murder of innocents.

There was no justice when over a million Iraqi and Afghan civilians died during this War on Terror after the attacks and there'll be no justice if however many Palestinians or Israelis die in this war. War begets war begets war begets war. It never ends if eye for eye mentality is allowed to prevail, and those who suffer most are those who don't want any part of it, while bureaucrats plot the destruction and murder of innocents and while soldiers in armies put their lives on the line, and while these Palestinian fighters fight back. Nobody wins when innocent people are being slaughtered.

The Israelis are as bad as any other, and you shouldn't set them on a moral pedestal. America, the UK, Russia, the Afghan militia, the Taliban, the Israeli government, the Palestinian fighters, ETA, the IRA, the French army, NATO, the Iraqi military, whatever, all those
who've contributed to war and the killing of innocent people are every bit as equal in that they kill and fight incessantly,
spending lives for 'peace' when peace will never come by forcing it on people, or killing for a cause when the killing only strengthens opposition.

It's about freedom from domination by one's agressors.

Freedom is not free. It is bought with blood and treasure.

i haven't seen this mentioned yet...but there is a related story that we should also be following...

shortly after the three kidnapped israelis were found dead...the burnt body of an israeli arab teenager was also found... israeli law enforcement currently suspects that he was murdered as a retribution for the deaths of the three young israeli jews...

israeli arabs are furious over this apparent murder and there has been widespread rioting and violence in the past few days...one can only hope they are just as offended by the senseless murder of those three israeli jews...

netanyahu has called the murder of the arab teenager 'abominable' and promised to bring the killers to justice...many other israeli leaders have also condemned the murder...and the families of the three murdered israeli jews have spoken out against any attempts at revenge killings...

an expert police task force has been assigned to the case...

this morning i read a report that the israeli police arrested six suspects in the case of the murder of the arab teenager...they admit to being in the area at the time of the murder but they deny having anything to do with it...

whoever is found guilty of this murder should be given just as harsh a punishment as people demanded for the murder of those three israeli jewish boys...
