I see someone is posting alot of ads to "help you get your exes back". I saw this in their LONG advertisement, "300 YEARS OF MY FAMILY HAVING EXPERINCE IN ASTROLOGRY ". I didn't want to respond on their post, cause I know it's a trap. But I just couldn't help but laugh at that. I'm thinking, "Uhhhh, no thanks! I believe in the One who made the stars and He's been around alot longer then 300 years!" ...lol

Thank you all for your responses. I really do mean that. Yes, the Bible does give us several verses about "signs in the sky". However, please understand that these are for us to know seasons, navigation, and to be aware of the end coming very soon. I've posted the location of these verses below. However, not once does the Bible tell us to believe IN the stars. It doesn't tell us to look at them to determine our own personal future. We are to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" Prov 3:5 It doesn't say, "and the stars".

Astrology means = the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world.

When you mess with Astrology, Horoscopes, Fortune Telling, etc..., you're not putting your faith in God. Please be careful with this.

This verse is a warning to all the, so-called, wise men and astrologers that they will not even be able to save themselves, much less anyone else.

I think it's healthy to research such things, the sun and the moon and the stars were created to give us signs but at the same time some turned it into a type of religion.
Something I noticed about the sun and the moon is that they represent us and God, see the moon does not give light itself it reflects the light given to it from the sun sound familiar? The sun can be sen as God and the moon us, we have no light of our own but we shine his light in the dark of night.

This analogy is something God showed me so to say that to seek meaning in the stars and the moon and the sun is dangerous or is of the occult is not true but at the same time we have to have a balance because if we research such things but our minds become to wrapped up in it then it can destroy us.
to research such things is admirable you may find truths and hidden secrets that are buried in the bible from it but one must be absolutely sure they have a stable mind and can study and research such things without being drawn to it like that

We are to seek revelation from the Creator, NOT the creation!

The only time we are to look to the skies will be when Jesus returns. Those signs will be obvious to everyone, and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. I don't really look for them they just come to me the more I seek God and the closer he and I become.
I like to take everything and learn from them even the smallest things, I like to ppl watch as well.
I think it takes much more than a certain kind of faith to receive revelations from God form things such as the moon and sun and stars. I think that first and foremost a deep and intimate bond and relationship with him is needed one also must have a willing heart a heart that is willing for his to speak teach and show us things through any means even if we never would have expected it. The second we limit him in any area in any way or form of teaching us we have lost some special.

The kind of faith and heart he seeks the faith and heart that will receive deep and hidden truths and revelations from him and receive it in abundance is a willing one and one that is after his own heart with great adoration and intimacy

It's not that God's purposes can't be served by Him using His creation to give us a message, but He Himself has placed an order in how we should gain wisdom and guidance, to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, a way that is not due to a lack of our faith, but is there because He wants us to live by faith, in this, a more proficient relationship called righteousness; and it is thru His Word and continual prayer with a relationship in the Spirit of God; namely the Holy Spirit, that mankind becomes wrought out in love, thru the mind, body, and soul.

We must not be naive about the enemy. Interest in paranormal is becoming increasingly common. Psychics, seances, tarot cards, and mediums are increasingly considered normal. And unless a Spirt-filled man runs by that spirit directly he can be subjected to sly lies to offset his will to follow God in just such a manner. Humans are innately aware of the Spiritual world, and props that appear to guide. Sadly, however, instead of seeking the truth about the spirit world by communing with God and studying His Word, many people allow themselves to be led astray by the spirit world. Jaybird, what does the stars offer that the Bible or Holy Spirit does not? Simply put, Why do you value star guidance?

YES! Exactly! Good verse to post. Jeremiah was instructing God's people. Do not conform yourself to the ways and customs of the heathen. Do not approve of it, nor imitate it, nor accustom yourself to it. Do not mingle their ways of worship in with your own; do not mingle their ways of beliefs in with your own. We are to worship God in spirit and in truth and not with such rites and ceremonies as the heathens use in worshiping their false gods.

Matthew Henry said it best, "It was the way of the heathen to worship the host of heaven, the sun, moon, and stars; to them they gave divine honours, and from them they expected divine favours, and therefore, according as the signs of heaven were, whether they were auspicious or ominous, they thought themselves countenanced or discountenanced by their deities, which made them observe those signs, the eclipses of the sun and moon, the conjunctions and oppositions of the planets, and all the unusual phenomena of the celestial globe, with a great deal of anxiety and trembling. the paranormal things you mentioned are forbidden and most that go after that are doing it for themselves not for the Lords glory or closeness with the Lord.

blain made a good point, he goes out and things happen. i would be willing to bet that in his mind and heart he expects these things to happen.
i think to many today put their faith in dogma/doctrine and anything outside that they are scared to take the extra step.IMO the Apostles didnt follow Jesus because it was something discussed and agreed on within a group, they did it because of what they experienced with Jesus.
