My God is a good God and that's why I continue to serve him. I apologize to those of you who feel like my life is just an ongoing saga of misery. Imagine living it. But I refuse to be fake and pretend when all is perfect when it's not. I'm not complaining. I'm sorting through life one piece of broken glass at a time. Unfortunately, living in a glass house means there are lots of shards, and sometimes you have to stop and stitch up some cuts along the way.
I sang at the tea at my church this Saturday. It was fun and I got to sing a song I've wanted to sing for a while--"Carried to the Table" My counselor just happend to be there and asked me to sing at her conference in a couple of weeks. The speaker was heavy--a dear friend of mine who was married to an abusive husband for 41 years before they divorced. But when she became a Christian and was convinced she could change him, he shot her point blank through the heart. One thing she said stuck out to me though. She said it took her 5 years of counseling before she stopped longining for him.
This afternoon, after two weeks again of no contact, my husband finally emailed me. He makes promises left and right, but he has yet to follow through. For instance, it's been 6 weeks and he hasn't found a counselor for us. In 6 weeks it will be a year since he left. That's his deadline to show me he's working on his issues before I file. I do not need his abuse and manipultion anymore. A year is plenty of time for him to take one step towards health.
I am expecting a letter from my mom which I am not looking forward to. Having grown up being called just about every name you'd never imagine a mother to call her daughter, I'm done with her abuse and manipulation also. The letter could be nice, but I won't believe it. It could be cruel and it will be devastating.
Prayer requests:
1. Wisdom for what to do with my husband
2. Wisdom for how to handle my mother's letter

Hugs Jordache, it is a gift and blessing from Jesus to know you and be there with you as you continue to heal.
You are never a saga. :)
Ill lift these needs up and continue to keep you in my prayers in Jesus.

God bless:)

Life is not without difficult seasons. But consider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds, because the testing of your faith develops perseverance; perseverance produce character; and character produce hope. In order for you to become mature and complete in CHRIST JESUS, perseverance must finish its work in you.

Though now for a little while you may have to suffer grief in all kinds of trials, remember that trials come so that your faith- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

So blessed be in the name of the Lord in everything you do, give Him all the glory and honor and your worship. Blessed.

You are still holding on to that comment made by that guy but you seemed to ignore that he was actually taking a jab at that troller tacomaster and not you.

Other than that it doesn't matter what your mother says because you know who she is. You are expecting a cow to act like a chicken. These types of people don't care about you or your happiness so just move on. I have a mother like that and that is what I had to do. Either that or let the abuse continue.

Same thing with your so called husband. Let him prove his love and commitment to you with his actions and not just words. Words mean nothing if they are not followed through with actions. If he can't even start to get his act together in a year's time then I think he is wasting your time.

Take this as seasoned advice from someone older than you who has been through the mill and knows better now.

Don't be wearing the rose colored glasses. Face reality for what it is and make your life better. No one else is going to do it for you.

Prayers for you...
with the love of Jesus!
It will be alright...
God promises!

Dear Lord
I pray and bring before you Jordache's prayer request 1. Wisdom for what to do with my husband 2. Wisdom for how to handle my mother's letter. That you give her your wisdom so that she can deal with the situation that she is facing according to your will. I pray that you also give her understanding so that she will understand your word and let your love, forgiveness and mercy prevail in her heart. Shield her with the power of your blood in Jesus name I pray Amen.

Isaiah 54: 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me. says the Lord.

Ps 27:4 One thing I have desired of the Lord that, will I seek That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.

Dear Jordache, you are covered in Christ Blood and no weapons formed against you shall prosper.
