Hey all.. I wonder.. if Yeshua/Jesus really is the way the truth and the life and if a heart is truly seeking the truth what do we think they will find? God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
We can never earn anything good from Him. It is all by His grace.
The changes in most of the new bibles are an attack on the doctrinal beliefs that seperated the Protestants from catholics. Little changes to the text and foot notes that change the meaning.
The new bibles attack the divinity of Christ. I like the KJV..

So many bibles and so many churches, lots of confusion, we know who that comes from . The early church was singular . As the NT is . So if you want the truth read it for yourself and ask Gods help in understanding it . Well worth the effort! God bless !
I've never studied the KJV in any depth. There are a couple of instances where the literal translation is changed by modern translators. Galatians 2:20 is one of them. I have never found any suggestion that Jesus is not God in the flesh.
Many of the present generation can't speak or write English with any degree of comprehension. How you expect them to read a language that is hundreds of years old is beyond me. It's spelt separated, by the way.
I use Bible Hub. Most versions and literal translations are available. If I find it necessary, I will compare versions. There are rarely any differences that matter.
My preference and what I usually quote is the Berean.
Forgive me if I am being slow here, but what do you mean by the single word "read"? Are you encouraging people to read God's word, or did you mean something else?
I stick with the KJV, it's linked to the king we overthrew and it says it's not corrupted (instead of peddle for instance). I believe every word it. Satan (god of this world) is suttle......

One says "a virgin" and the others say "the virgin." What's the problem?
I wonder if somebody who knows biblical Hebrew could tell us what the Hebrew for Isaiah 7:14 actually means, "a virgin" or "the virgin"?
I don't know, but I fail to see what difference it makes; it doesn't change the meaning one bit.
I imagine the question to ask is this: How many virgins have ever conceived? If several, then it would make a difference whether one said "a virgin" or "the virgin," because we wouldn't know which of the virgins who conceived was being referred to if "a virgin" was used. On the other hand, if Mary conceiving Jesus was, as the bible indicates, a unique event, and no woman other than Mary has ever conceived while still a virgin, then she must be the one meant, regardless of whether "a" or "the" is used.
There are indeed differences. The existence of differences does not indicate that the KJV is correct and the others are wrong, inferior, or corrupted.
