Belivers assurance,its easy to say yes cuz we know all the scripturs n cliches or christian language however it only comes through our personal walk with him on our knees.
When was the last time we meditated on Christ n wept,that his joy filled us on our knees for hours we couldnt utter words,all there was a groaning before his presence.

I like what he used to esay we have grown in knowledge but our hearts are far from it.
When we know him on our knees,nothing else matters
 
i think you misunderstand what was said on the 2 scripture that you've queted. English problem.

i think what it mean for Romans 12:3 is that God dealt with us according to our faith. In order words, God would see how much faith we have then He will deal accordingly.So, faith is NOT given by God. It is up to us to cultivate our faith.

i think what it meant for Ephesians 2:8 You are saved by grace because of your faith. You don't earned it. It is a gift from God.

Well in that sense, God owns everything, everything good comes from God. God gave us the ability to choose, does that mean He owns our choices? I say "not".

God gave us faith as a gift, but isn't it how we exercise this faith our responsibility?

Who does Jesus accredit faith too in this passage? God or the centurion?
Matthew 8:10
10 When Jesus heard him, He marveled and said to those who followed Him [who adhered steadfastly to Him, conforming to His example in living and, if need be, in dying also], I tell you truly, I have not found so much faith as this with anyone, even in Israel. AMP

Believe is an action word, that means to be and live in, so in my opinion our works is to believe, but not with lip service only, but in living as well.
