So my parents are seperate. My grandparents raised me and three of my siblings, me being the oldest. Six people. Then my grandmother died. Five people. Then my sister moves to Corpus Christi, then Wisconson. Four people. Then my brother went to the phoenix house as an alternative to foster care(long story). Three people. I should be moving soon. Leaving the youngest among us with my grandpa who has spoken(nearing death).

All of these events are connected in some way. Family's drug history went from my parents to me and my brother. I quit smoking(weed and cigarrettes) which is all I've done. My brother didn't and tried more and more things. From weed, pills, coke, drinking, and possibly other things. He skipped several times, flunked once, and has been involved in the criminal system for a while. He hangs around bad influences. I know because I've known him and his best friend longer than they've known each other. He's filled with a lot of fear and hatred.

My sister moved because of all the drama at school and in the house. From what I heard she's not in the best place or hanging around the best people, but the situation is tolderable. Her blood clots is a repeat. The first time it nearly killed her as did the vaccine. This time I don't know. I haven't heard much about it yet.

My grandfather I don't think ever let go of his wife. He can be bitter especially when it comes to drugs. Which makes my brother a big product of stress to him. And me too at the point of my downfall. He's got a heavy load, because he allows the past to weigh down on him even as the present situation is overbearing enough. But he's the one person in this world whom I respect the most for what he's done. I think he's afraid of dying without peace of mind like my grandmother.

I went through the whole of it because my entire family needs your prayers. Including my parents who need to wake up and my uncle, who from a previous phone call I know is hurting.

I think I'm the only one besides my grandpa who does pray often, who really leans to God, which I believe is why most of my problems are the ones they have and not my own. I try to encourage my grandpa, but so far I've been terrible at helping(as in not doing so). I beat myself up a lot because of it. I feel like a lot of it's my fault, because both my own mistakes and my silence and inaction has caused many of my loved ones to suffer more than what they should have.

Please! I know this was long, but I need you to understand and feel what I'm going though. What we're going through. Add you're compassion to your prayers and send my family your regards. We desperately need your help. God's help. To bring some goodness, some peace, maybe even some joy to our family would mean the world to me! I'm almost in tears because of how important it is. Of course I will pray and do my part but we need all the help we can get. Thanks in advance.

I'm so sorry little brother that you and your family are suffering so much!

Pain from the past and from the present can weigh us down and practically paralyze us. The Holy Spirit is working in you right now to bring love and order to your life....continue praying, reading God's Word, and being quiet so you can hear that small voice that is talking to you. Receive His comfort and remain open to His leading.

Your grandfather is right now being blessed by your presence. You may not know what to do for him but just listen to God's voice. You won't hear an audible voice but you will be led into action. Many times just love and your presence will benefit another.

Do you attend church? If not, I strongly suggest visiting around. How about Christian friends? They can help you to grow spiritually and support you. New believers really need that support because ridicule and contempt from the world can knock you down very fast.

The good news is that we can always start over. Just jettison the past mistakes....wouldn't that be a wonderful feeling? When we acknowledge our sinful state, are sorrowful about it (repenting), and turn to Jesus as our Savior and ask Him into our hearts, knowing that we can't change without the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, then we're ready for a new life.

We can't really help our family members until we go through that change ourselves. Then when they see the change in you, they will, hopefully, want that for themselves.

Drugs, alcohol, whatever, are things people use to try to fill a very big empty spot in their souls. But there is only one thing that will fill it....God.

Praying for you....health, healing, and the desire for the Holy Spirit....May He work in you in a powerful way. God loves you more than you can ever know, and He wants you back in relationship with Him. Your compassion for your family is from Him :).

My heart is so full of prayers and compassion for your family.

I want you to know that I will pray as God leads my heart.

May you all feel the love of Jesus in your lives.

Love in Christ, Shekaniah

I will pray for peace to fill your lives! In Christ we have hope that no matter how broken a thing becomes it can be fixed! I too come from a very broken home and family situation, and by His grace am raising my family following His ways. There is much healing in Him.
