My personal opinion is that it isn't necessarily the amount of money that's involved, but rather the character and experience of the one who has it on loan from God.
My parents teach the Dave Ramsey financial courses at several churches and over the years, have found that someone who makes $25,000 a year and knows how to manage it well is a lot more effective than someone who makes $400,000 a year and doesn't know how to manage it at all. (True story--one couple they worked with made $400,000+ a year but were in way over their heads, owning several houses, cars, etc., that they couldn't pay for. While my dad was trying to help them develop a budget plan, each person insisted on something like $500 a week as personal money... They rejected everything that was suggested to them... Rather than start to take personal responsibility, the husband wanted to hire my dad to take care of all his financial affairs. My dad wasn't interested--he's retired and he and my mom love doing their ministry for free. Later on down the road, this couple wound up divorcing.)
Unfortunately, every guy I ever thought I loved either couldn't/wouldn't hold a job or was a spender... My dream guy would be someone who has similar philosophies as my own family regarding how to manage God's gifts.
A million dollars... that's great. But my big question would be, how was it obtained, and what does the person do with it?
