Have you ever thought about doing something that was clearly wrong, but the more you thought about it the less wrong it felt or seemed?

Do you guys think that such a thought process is reflective of Romans 1:24 and 1 Timothy 4:2?

God is true though every man be false.

The work He began in each one of us, He will not abandon. He will finish perfecting each one of us, yes, He will.

You've practically described the process by which sin occurs.

James 1:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 1:14-15 explains how it is that sin comes forth, and it all begins when one is drawn away from his own lust, and enticed, allowing lust to be conceived then producing sin. It is when you keep thinking upon such temptations that it allows lust to be conceived, drawing you away in your lust and being enticed.

The practical method of resistance is to approach the throne of grace in time of need, for grace and mercy. The answer then is as temptation presents itself, pray. Go before the Lord, and let Him give you the escape.

Hebrews 4:15-16 King James Version (KJV)
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 Corinthians 10:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Mat 26:41, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into trial. The spirit indeed is eager, but the flesh is weak.”

Yes I think those verses are similar in nature, but the are many verses about doing the right thing and being strengthened by Him to do and enjoy what is right before His eyes...

The fullness of going the wrong is "reprobate" being devoid of righteous judgment, this comes about IMO by the more one does, justifies, or even thinks about doing things that are wrong; the easier they become, modern psychology calls this "sociopathic" Many sects of society and culture support or even promote these kinds of things but the heart is against them...until it is not by continually going the wrong way. Like anything the more something is done the easier it becomes, but this goes both ways, if someone commits themselves to doing right it becomes easier ans easier to do right.

Ephesians 2:1-2, “And you were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.”

Isaiah 63:9-10,, “In all their distress He was distressed, and the Messenger of His Presence saved them. In His love and in His compassion He redeemed them, and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved His Set-apart Spirit, so He turned against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.”

Psalms 51:10-11, “Create in me a clean heart, O Mighty One, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Set-apart Spirit from me.”

Luke 11:13, “If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father from heaven give the Set-apart Spirit to those asking Him!”

Ezekiel 36:26-28, "A new heart, will I also give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments, and do them. And you will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you will be My people, and I will be your Father."

John 14:16-17, “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you.”

Acts 5:32 “And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Set-apart Spirit whom the Might One has given to those who obey Him.”

Psalm 25:8-10, “Righteous and upright is יהוה: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of יהוה are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.”

Jeremiah 24:7, “And I shall give them a heart to know Me, that I am יהוה. And they shall be My people and I shall be their Strength, for they shall turn back to Me with all their heart.”

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.”

Luke 11:13, “If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father from heaven give the Set-apart Spirit to those asking Him!”
It sounds like the context of the scripture is in the present tense, "If ye being evil" which begs the question if those who are evil know how to give good gifts to their children then where do get it from since it is written, "Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and doth his will, him he hears.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The entire phrase/sentence is not in the present.......just the description of man in the flesh. shall may be also the same as will , either is a future tense.

So Jesus didn't say that to him who son had a dumb spirit? Think he was speaking in a parable?

If I recall correctly he speaking to the man whose son had spirit that was dumb.
