If I might add to include police officers and members of our local fire departments and emergency personnel?! We so often think of just our doctors and nurses during this pandemic, but we have emergency personnel who are risking their lives to ensure the safety on the outside of the hospital.
For sure. If I may add for the doctors and nurses working at the retirement and rehab places too. Many of the seniors can’t have visitors with covid, and sadly they end up relying more on the nurses and other staff not only for physical but emotional support, which often times may not be possible. It’s hard everywhere
We also add everyone in the world of course, but if the doc and nurses get tired there will be no one to save others in A health crisis here.

Nursing homes are in a crisis here, one attendant for 60 residents... the elderly dying for lack of care.
Many are sick or afraid to go to work.
So sad.
Nursing home care is questionable in the best of times. Typically such places are run on shoestring budgets and don’t attract the most talented workers.
Yes it's very sad so many are dying of the virus. We must do what we can to stay safe.

If nursing homes are not doing well it is because of bad management, not money.
