Hi!

So I'm just wondering your thoughts. I'm shy until I know you well, then I talk quite a bit! so my question is, do christian guys not like shy/quiet christian girls? OR do some? Thoughts?

I like shy girls more than non-shy girls, they're hard to find sometimes, though. They're usually kinder, more genuine, and more loyal.

This question can't be answered. All guys, and girls as well, have different things they are, or are not attracted to. Christian or non-Christian. So there is no one answer. It all comes down to each individual and what that person likes.

Guys like girls. The rest is details and balances out in the end, unless you rush God's plans. ;)

This Christian guy likes shy girls. With someone more outgoing, what you see is sometimes what you get, but a shy girl's going to be more selective about who she really lets in; so getting to know one well enough that she opens up to you is that much more meaningful.

I've never heard a guy say he doesn't like shy girls....ever. I've heard em complain about them being hard to get to know though

I think it realy depends with the guy specificaly. I realy don't mind a shy, reserved and talkative like you said. For me she is the 'gold mine'. I think most Christian guys like shy and quiet girls, 'personaly thinking'. Would you yourself go for a guy who is like that?

Hello, AQuietFriend i'm also like you. i tend to be very shy at first but when you get to know the real me i'm the complete opposite. hehe. I guess it's pretty normal for us to be shy at first because we are still on the process of assessing someone whether we can trust them or not. Hehe. I think it's a matter of preference of guys whether they want shy or confident girls. Sorry i have no idea how a man's brain works. :D

I'm the same also, especially if i'm in new surroundings i'm really quiet but once i get to know everyone I can be really loud......in terms of dating/meeting the chemistry is going to be different depending on the people,

You hear guys all the time affectionately (or sometimes for real) complain that the women in their life talk too much and don't listen enough. Shy girls make good listeners. For that reason, some guy somewhere will find you a rare treasure and will never wanna let you go. :)

Another upside for us shy girls, we are less likely to nag. :p

To us, the occasional serious meaningful communication is worth far more than repetitive meaningless communication.

I tend to think this is quite normal. Before the modern femenist movement came to America around WWII, and then the later geek feminism and so-called christian femenism movement from 1977 to present - girls used to be more shy, meek, and caring.

Personally if a girl is loud, boisterous, and controlling I do not feel comfortable around them.

I believe this also has a scriptural basis:
Bible said:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
- Galatians 6:22-26

Breaking this down from Noah Webster's Classic 1828:
LONG'SUF'FERING, a. Bearing injuries or provocation for a long time; patient; not easily provoked.
The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness. Ex. 34.

MEE'KNESS, n. Softness of temper; mildness; gentleness; forbearance under injuries and provocations.
1. In an evangelical sense, humility; resignation; submission to the divine will, without murmuring or peevishness; opposed to pride, arrogance and refractoriness. Gal.5.
I beseech you by the meekness of Christ. 1 Cor.10.
Meekness is a grace which Jesus alone inculcated, and which no ancient philosopher seems to have understood or recommended.

TEM'PERANCE, n. [L. temperantia, from tempero.]
1. Moderation; particularly, habitual moderation in regard to the indulgence of the natural appetites and passions; restrained or moderate indulgence; as temperance in eating and drinking; temperance in the indulgence of joy or mirth. Temperance in eating and drinking is opposed to gluttony and drunkenness, and in other indulgences, to excess.2. Patience; calmness; sedateness; moderation of passion.

He calm'd his wrath with goodly temperance. [Unusual.]

On the oppoiste spectrum, all of Proverbs 7 explains what not to look for...
(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: - Proverbs 7:11

And Ephesians 2 explains bad conversation -
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. - Ephesians 2:3

So keep on being yourself, and keep God first. The rest will take care of itself. :)

Im like you aquitefriend.I like both types of women shy or not.Its the heart that matters. But i need help with shy women because Im shy too in the begining.

I must be hanging around all the wrong guys then, because they've all pursued the outgoing girls. I haven't been pursued so I kind of have this mindset that being shy is bad/unwanted. Glad to read that it's not. :)

...Sorry i have no idea how a man's brain works. :D
That's ok, it is mutual both ways... We don't know how women's brains work and have even less clue how ours do, despite the occasional pretentiousness about knowing our own and bemoaning that know one could ever understand yours. Shame on us fellas for that, btw.

Plagiarized for you from elsewhere on the internet. The delivery may be tainted in this way, but hopefully the sentiment is not.

When I spotted it I saved it to later share with my own daughter.

Shy people are just as wanted as non-shy people. The trouble is that outgoing people seem more likely to say yes to a date.
