Well, I believe the English speaking language is not that significant or important in the scheme of past Biblical history (Because there is no mention of it in the Scriptures and or ancient history). Chaldean is actually the believed language of that time period.

Anyways, I have been going over Abraham and Sarah's real life Story again today and I have some exciting things to share within it. Tonight (Early this morning - Pacific time), I will hopefully post the first chapter of their story with some commentary.

Thank you, my brother. After I am done commenting on all the Stories in the Bible, I plan on doing the following Study Threads:
1. Going Over The Commands in the Bible.
2. Proverbs.

4. The Prophet Books (Prophecies).

It's taking a little longer in going over Abraham and Sarah's Life Story than I thought. I have made notes of things I would like to comment on thru out their Story. Also, compiling certain verses from the New Testament into their Story as chronological as possible has taken a bit of time, too. I should have the first chapter posted soon.
I also took another day going over Abraham and Sarah's Story so as to break it up into 3 Acts Like I did with Noah's Story.
Act 1 = Set Up
Act 2 = Conflict
Act 3 = Resolution (Final Conclusion).

Story #8 - Abraham and Sarah's Story
Chapter 1 - The Blessing of the Promised Seed.
Act 1 - (The Call)
The God of glory appeared unto ... Abraham, (Acts 7:2b) when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, (Acts 7:2d)
And said unto him,
"Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee."
(Acts 7:3-4a).
And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran [Charran], and dwelt there. (Genesis 11:31).
And so Abraham (Acts 7:8) then came ... out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran [Haran]: (Acts 7:4b).
And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran [Charran]. (Genesis 11:32).
Now the LORD had said unto Abram,
"Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
(Genesis 12:1-3).

Can you imagine this call? I mean everything that you are comfortable with and God calls you to go to a strange place that you don't know about. Must have been something to think about.... But the amazing thing is that Abraham was willing and did obey the call.... I wonder about my life and if God gave me that call if I would be so willing to trust and obey like Abraham did? I certainly hope that I would also obey and heed the call.
What did Abraham do that made him trust God enough to follow that call? Just makes me wonder how or what he was doing in his life that prepared him to follow God's instructions to go.... I want to have that ability to obey God in a directive such as the one He gave to Abraham.... Makes this Blond think and ponder a lot about this obedience/listening to God's call thing.

I like the aspect that heb11 has, "and he went out, not knowing whither he went." ...it shows faith on the part of Abraham...
Yes, thank you; You mentioned something that I was specificially thinking of today, as well. For I believe God calls His people in different ways so to be prepared before answering the ultimate call to service for His Kingdom (Which I believe will eventually lead one in preaching the gospel to other nations).
Anyways, I will mention these calls within my commentary (With Scripture) on the text within the 1st Act of Chapter 1 of Abraham's Story (above). So hopefully you will find them insightful in your walk with God and in giving all the glory to Him.
In the mean time, if you have not seen the following animated video (below), I would highly recommend that you check it out. It reminds me of the ultimate call God would have for our lives (As believers). To live as He lived because we love Him. To offer our bodies as a willing sacrifice unto God (In complete devotion to Him). For to be able to hold onto Christ and Him alone while this world passes away (with all it's vanity) is the ultimate goal and the prize we seek. To see Christ face to face (Our pearl of great price) who will rule in a continuing city on Earth (Which is to come). How beautiful that is. How amazing.

Stephen said these words to the Sanehedrin (i.e. the Jews); God's glory appeared unto Abraham just as God's glory appeared unto Moses whereby Mose's face had shined. For when Stephen spoke his speech to the Sanhedrin, Stephen's face was like that of an angel (showing forth the glory of God); In fact, when he was being stoned by them he declared before he died that he had seen the Son of Man (Jesus) standing on the right hand of God (the Father) (Acts 7:56).

Also, Warren W. Wiersbe has an amazing commentary on this point, too.
Warren essentially says that Stephen's speech opens with the glory of God and closes with the glory of God (Acts 7:55). He adds that that the entire time when Stephen had spoken, his face radiated the glory of God? Why? Because Israel was the only nation priviledged to have the glory of God as a part of it's inheritance (Romans 9:4). Therefore, the glory of God departed, first from the tabernacle (1 Samuel 4:19-22) and then from the temple (Ezekiel 10:4, 18). For God's glory was manifested when the Word was made flesh (John 1:14), but the nation of Israel had rejected Him, though.
