The purpose of this thread is to share verses from the Bible in what you think is "triage order" or the order of importance if you were supplying soldiers fighting a spiritual war in which God's Word was your ammunition.
If you think a verse in Proverbs is of primary importance, you are invited to share it along with an explanation of why you regard it so highly.
Please share only one verse (or pericope) at a time so that it can be discussed and evaluated, and then someone else can share their preference. Then you can share a second verse after others have had a chance to post.

I have noticed that John 3:16 is the favorite Bible verse in many CC profiles, so I will suggest it as ammo on behalf of shy folks.
The reason is because it indicates God's motive for making humans was love. God loved humanity (and angels?) so much that He was willing to suffer the consequence of sin so they (including Satan?) would have the opportunity for eternal fellowship in heaven!
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
I would note that this verse is in the same vein as 1Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus", which follows what I cited first (1Tim. 2:3-4). Together they make a pericope: scripture having a single teaching, or in this case, two (God the Father and Son).

I would provide Romans 1:20 next, because while John 3:16 states God's requirement for salvation (GRFS) in terms of believing in Jesus as Son/Messiah, Romans 1:20 indicates GRFS for those who never had/have the opportunity to learn the NT Gospel, which includes most of humanity throughout most of history.

I think Jesus first scripture or favourite one was from Deuteronomy
The one Jesus used to answer the devil when he tempted him 3 times. The first. was from Deuteronomy 8:3
So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
Jesus quoted the 'man shall not live by bread alone' part when faced with the devil tempting him on Jesus 40 day fast with food. He told him he could turn stones into bread. Jesus resisted.
For Christians it means that we rely on God's Word for everything, even food, and the spiritual food only God can give. The other reason I think this is important is because God gives grace to the humble, and resists the proud. Fasting helps us curb our tendency towards gluttony. Everyone knows what temptation is - when someone wants you to do something bad or not good for you - going right back to the first encounter with Satan in the Garden of Eden convincing Eve to partake of the forbidden fruit from the tree God told them NOT to eat from.
If you are a soldier for Christ this is very important spiritual lesson to have these verses or word from God memorised in your spiritual arsenal. This is even before you get to the gospel. I am being a bit meta sorry. Clearly Jesus thought this was important or He wouldn't have said it. The devil couldn't answer back for this one.
Later on He did a scripture reading from Isaiah to declare the day of the Lord being fulfilled. And the eunuch after resurrection was looking for someone (Phillip) to explain Isaiah.

I seem to remember a pastor comparing the arsenal with a reservoir into which we need to store holy water for times of drought (spiritual testing), with the point being that we should not expect the Holy Spirit's help if we neglect His means/learning God's Word.

This choice might seem odd at first, but the admission of Paul in 1Cor. 15:14 combined with the Damascus Road blinding appearance (Acts 9:3&8/1Cor. 15:8) is perhaps the strongest evidence beyond the gospel accounts for the bodily resurrection of Jesus, because if Paul realized Christ's death was pointless without resurrection, then surely he was confident in the evidence of the empty tomb and the Damascus Road miracle, and so we too can be reasonably confident that faith in Jesus as Lord is salvific.
