Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Hearts,

This chapter deals mainly with corruption and deadly sin.
In order to be followers of Jesus and leaders of people,
we should become example of the living Lord which is why
He came on earth to sacrifice Himself. Because we aren't
perfect, this is difficult for us to do but yet we must to it.
We can't say one thing and do another. We may get away
with it for a while but it will always catch up on us. So we
keep striving to do our best so that we can be an example
to others. Especially on Sundays it is a wonderful time to be
loving and good to others since we will be at church. But
it needs to carry on beyond church in our love of neighbor.

For me it has become a permanent way of living, fortunately I am retired, keep to myself, never married and had no kids. Having outside influences would make the journey much harder but doable. Its a lifelong commitment

Yes, our salvation is so much more than ourselves. We often turn inward when we should be walking out our call for service to one another. Great thread. Very inspiring as usual

there are those who would say you are preaching sloppy agape, I stand with you. This speaks to my heart to be modeled after ny Lord and Savior. What a joy it must be to not slay someone with the words I speak. To not think ill of anyone. To fulfill all the Law with love. Sounds a lot like what heaven will be like. Thank you Lord for your finishing the work you began in me. After all I did such a stunning job before I met you. Stunningly bad. but I am held in the right hands now, thank you.

I am probably older than most of you, no applause please, But I have a problem I forget where I put stuff. Ever happen to you. I was surprised that the Lord seems to have that same problem. When He came to life and exited the tomb He had wounds on His feet, on His side and His two hands. But the wounds from the crown of thorns were missing. What happened to them? Thorns are perfect pictures of sin. They are branches that missed the mark. While the Roman soldiers thought they were humiliating Him the Lord was not only taking the sin of the world upon Himself He visibly did so as well to send a little love story to us. If all our sin had not been paid by Him and accept by the Father there would have been no resurrection. The wounds of the thorns sent the message it is finished our sins are as far as the east is from the west. He loves us.
