Last week I discovered my wife of 12 years was having an affair with one of her coworkers. Obviously this has turned my world upside down, and I'm now looking for supplemental Christian fellowship to help me as I now come home from work to an empty home and a broken marriage.

Prayer is very much appreciated, but I'm also just looking to be involved in a Godly community in a way that I couldn't be till now.

Hello Adam,

Marital unfaithfulness weighs heavy on us all. Even the singles among us.

A stranger I am, but it hurts that you should suffer such a betrayal. As an unbeliever, I hated how the married in my social circle would revel in extramarital affairs. The vexation caused me to think that it was better not to marry, because I saw no pattern of faithfulness, dedication or trueness, bounded by marriage in the world.

I will pray for you, and your unfaithful wife, because she must be in an even worse state (spiritually) than the one her infidelity must have left you in (emotionally).

The God of all peace and comfort be with you!

I will pray for you to feel held every day by Jesus whilst you navigate this huge trauma and loss. Be gentle on yourself. Cut corners where you can. Isiah 41:33 helps me - I imagine God holding my right hand 24/7.
