God created man on the 6th day.

Genisus 1:26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Verse 27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
We are going to jump down to verse 31. And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
KJV.
Chapter 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
NIV.
2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
NLT.
2:1New Living Translation
So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed.
Back to the King James
Chapter 2:1 Is bringing creation to a close. Day 7 comes and what does it say;
2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Two words I want you to look at and understand: 1st Finished, completed, done . . . 2nd word is host of them. Host in the Strongs concordance #6635 in the Hebrew comes from #6633 meaning a mass of persons (or things) by implication a campaign. Chapter 1 verse 28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
How long is a day with the Lord? Peter tells us it is a thousand years.

Peter wasn't speaking in context of the creation.
God defines every day as morning and evening. He made the time period as plain as possible.
There's absolutely no reason to redefine the time period of creation UNLESS we are integrating the religion of Evilutionism.

I was taught this from a child.
I believed that religion until I >Got Saved.<
Then I asked myself, Am I going to believe the Old Testament or JUST the New?

Yes... and Genesis 2:4 says, "This is the account (toledoth) of the heavens and the earth when they were created. There's no room for Genesis 2 to be a second creation of Adam and Eve.

2nd word is host of them. Host in the Strongs concordance #6635 in the Hebrew comes from #6633 meaning a mass of persons (or things) by implication a campaign. Genesis 2:1 is after Genesis 1:28. God said to the man and woman, "Be fruitful and multiply...".

Peter's words are often used to argue that "one day" = 1,000 years. Most people who argue that fail to account for Psalm 90:4 which states, "For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night." That the comparison goes both ways (and is given two referents in the psalm) means that it's not an absolute statement about time, but a comparative statement about the nature of God.

It is theologically untenable for there to have been humans before Adam and Eve as Adam is the archetype for Christ, and as both the progenitor and first sinner of all humankind, we all inherit death and sin through him.

If Peter in 2nd Peter 3 is not speaking of creation, then just what was he speaking about. Peter is not talking about Noaah's flood. He was speaking of the first earth age written about in Job, and other places throughout the bible.

I believe Peter is referring to the body of water above the earth that was formed on the 2nd day of creation that descended to earth in Noah's day and drowned everyone.

Peter is not redefining TIME to fit a Day/ Age theory of C.I.Schofield to "prove" his addition to Scripture as God Himself defined it time and again.

This is literally "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

Don't miss that. This is "with the Lord". He is not limited to looking at everything in terms of October 2025 in Heaven. He is above time. He created time and established it in the first chapter of Genesis with definition and examples.

What is described here is the Lord's long-suffering before returning and bringing firey judgement.

There were scoffers Peter was warning about. They would mock the coming of the Lord. However God is patient. God is long-suffering. That's why the statement of the thousand years was made.

I dont believe it was a thousand years to make creation. Even atheist think. a cosmic force boomed and then it happened. They just think life evolved. Wrong. Even Darwin in his personal notes claimed at one point in his career " someone of a higher intelligence has to create everything. It's true. Saw it in the book the case for Christ. A Christian would not put that in a book for us that knew the history of the Bible and science too. A x atheist.

The essential aspect of being a human rather than a robot or subhuman creature is moral free will (MFW), which is what enables a person to experience love and meaning. This is what makes humans different from animals, whose behavior is governed mainly by instinct. This is what it means to be created in God’s image (Gen. 1:26-27). MFW only exists when there is the possibility of choosing between two qualitatively opposite moral options that we call good and evil. These options are opposites because of essentially different consequences for choosing them. Choosing good results in blessing, life and heaven; and choosing evil results in cursing, death and hell (Gen. 2:17, Deut. 30:19). This is why hell as well as heaven exists.

God created theoretical evil or the possibility of rejecting Him as an option that actualizes MFW/free human personality. As such it is necessary and even good (Gen. 1:31). Of course, it was wrong for Satan (1John 3:8) and humanity (Rom. 5:12) to make evil actual by choosing to Sin or reject Faith in God’s Lordship. The first people to choose the evil option were named Adam and Eve (Gen. 3:6).

Current knowledge of world history suggests that humanity descended from one genetic source and evolved into various cultures. Throughout history humanity has perceived deity to be the ground of meaning and morality. The first people to perceive God were named Adam and Eve.

Wonder why this is in HIS WORD?

Revelation 22:18-19
King James Version
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

When we read, if you read mens twist on HIS word you need to keep in mind the KJV is HIS word and you should follow it.

Second part.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Notice to the Lord not to us.

John 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

His word says Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
