To you present day pharisees;

Ellen White is rejected as a prophet because; she, by her testimony presented in her writings, is supporting and proclaiming the Biblical obedience to God, ... as is Jesus and the Holy Spirit, which this world is rejecting.

Revelation 14: ( The Three Angels Message, to this last days generation, right before the Lord returns )

Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Jesus makes this statement in three specific Gospel passages: Mark 6:4, Matthew 13:57, and Luke 4:24.

  • Mark 6:4: Jesus says, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household."
  • Matthew 13:57: Jesus states, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home."
  • Luke 4:24: Jesus declares, "Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown."
In all instances, Jesus is referring to the rejection He faced in Nazareth, where He grew up and where His own family and neighbors did not believe in Him.
Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for their role in killing the prophets in Matthew 23:29-32, where He declares: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous, and say, 'If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.' So you testify against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of the guilt of your fathers."

This condemnation is further intensified in Matthew 23:34-36, where Jesus states: "Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city, so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar."

The passage also includes a lament over Jerusalem in Matthew 23:37, where Jesus says, "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling."

An highly inaccurate post.

William Miller was the prophet that stated Jesus would return in October 1844.

William Miller was not actually giving a prophecy but only his analysis of Daniel and the 2,300 days.

Ellen White believed that the analysis of the 2,300 day analysis in Daniel was correct.

Ellen White was evicted from the Methodist church for being a Millerite in 1843.

That was not Ellen's prophecy but a different analysis of the text in Daniel that William Miller gave.

William Miller admitted he was wrong and was never seen again.

All Ellen White did was modify that analysis of the prophecy in Daniel, that William Miller got wrong.

As for the ten commandments they were already insitu in the Reformation, then in the Methodist church.

Ellen White was raised as a child under the law.

So it's not a big step to go from under the law to a literal reading of the fourth commandment.

Why is Ellen White called a prophet?

To you present day pharisees;

Ellen White is rejected as a prophet because; she, by her testimony presented in her writings, is supporting and proclaiming the Biblical obedience to God, ... as is Jesus and the Holy Spirit, which this world is rejecting.

Not really. White is rejected by all who accept scripture for what it states, especially concerning salvation for the false prophet she actually was.

EVERY single cult produces extra biblical literature that they consider equal to or more important than scripture. We have Mormons and their book of Mormon. We have Jehovah witnesses who have created their own Bible translation by men who do not understand the original languages and we have Christian Science with their 'spiritual healing' based on hocus pocus. They now refer to their cult as Church of Christ.

Seventh Day Adventists, also recognized as a cult because of its extra biblical books and bad exegesis, have their prophet Ellen White who had an angel friend who helped her manage her many prophecies and visions. It is interesting to note that each of these 4 (considered major cults) have angel friends or some kind of ability to do automatic writing.

Whites prophecies are often enough in direct conflict with actual scripture and her visions amount to hallucinations. Sadly the world is not rejecting any of these cults at the moment, but a little research will reveal that thousands have left these groups and make it their business to warn as many as they can once they are free of the demonic debauchery induced deception.

This op is 31 pages long and contains proof of White's delusions so anyone can revisit these posts and see the truth for themself. All offerings provide reference as to the source with some of the error backed up by people who were in her time frame on this earth, who left her teachings and even provided Whites own words to illustrate just how bad it was. White also plagerized a great deal of her 'original' writings supposedly given to her by God.

It has also been noted that there are different types of Adventists. Some are quite lax in their beliefs and mainly just attend church on Saturday. Others are die hard in their practices derived from White's many offerings and defend obeying the 10 commandments as if Jesus had never died for them and they somehow must create their own righteousness or at least help the
only begotten Son of God out by trying to be just as obedient as was He. A fools' errand to say the least.

To YOU (Anti-Truth/Christ) false prophets, introducing destructive heresies as in 2 Peter 2:1, which reads: "Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master (Jesus) who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves."

... Ofcourse you will deny, malign, denigrate, and try to confuse the understanding of God's prophets, who proclaim a message of OBEDIENCE to God, to this sinful & spiritually dying world.

Matthew 24:11 and Matthew 24:24 prophesy that "many false prophets will arise and mislead many" and that false Christs and prophets will rise to show great signs to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

  • 1 John 4:1 instructs believers to "test the spirits, whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
  • Acts 20:29–30 warns that "savage wolves will come in among you" and that even from within the congregation, men will distort the truth to draw disciples away.
  • 1 Timothy 4:1 states that "in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons."

YOU ! ... deceitful spirits, teachings misunderstanding & doctrines of demons, ie. disobedience to God, have been present in all of God's History, throughout the OT and the NT..

"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." Matt. 24:37 .... Noah, a prophet of God

"And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly."
This New Testament verse explicitly calls Noah a "preacher of righteousness." ... Noah's role was not only to build the ark but also to proclaim the message of obedience = righteousness and repentance.
"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."
  • Here, Noah’s obedience to God's warning and his preparation of the ark are linked to his faith and righteousness. He is portrayed as obedient, condemning the world by his actions, and trusting in God's promise.
Ellen G. White, emphasizes that Noah's preaching of righteousness was not just limited to building the ark but also involved calling people to repentance. She writes:
"For 120 years Noah's voice was heard in warning. The message he brought was that of repentance and reform; he was a preacher of righteousness" (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 92).
According to White, Noah’s role as a preacher of righteousness was vital in God's plan to give the world a chance to repent before the flood came. Despite the rejection of his message, Noah continued to be faithful and obedient to God’s commands

Noah is clearly depicted as a preacher of righteousness in both the Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White. He faithfully preached for 120 years, calling people to obedience and repentance in preparation for the coming judgment. His life is an example of unwavering faith, righteousness, and obedience to God despite widespread rejection.

Elijah a prophets of God, confronted 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah.
The Bible describes Elijah as a prophet sent by God who preached obedience to God and challenged the Israelites to stop wavering between the Lord and Baal. In 1 Kings 18:21
, Elijah publicly declared, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him," directly calling the people to choose obedience to the true God

John the Baptist a prophet of God, with Jesus affirming he was "more than a prophet" and the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy ( Matthew 11:9-11; Isaiah 40:3 ). He was uniquely called to prepare the way for the Messiah, serving as the voice crying in the wilderness to turn hearts toward God.

John's ministry centered on preaching repentance and obedience to God's call, urging the people to "produce fruit in keeping with repentance" ( Matthew 3:8 ). He demonstrated unwavering obedience to his divine mission by living an ascetic life in the wilderness, confronting religious hypocrisy, and fearlessly rebuking King Herod Antipas ( as we Adventist rebuke this World, for your disobedience ) for his unlawful marriage. Forwhich they took his head off !

False Prophets, Pharisaical types and all those promoting disobedience to God, are siding with Satan and his AntiChrist, ( Revelation 16:13 ) and will naturally reject any council of "Obedience to God" saying " We don't have to keep the 10 Commandments, God's Moral Law" and will deny and denigrate EGW, Adventists or anyone proclaiming the necessity of OBEDIENCE to God, through Faith to have the Righteousness of Christ, by LOVE, to become Justified & Sanctified to God, becoming His Obedient Children, " ... the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev. 14:12 ... Inheriting eternal life with Jesus. Amen ! I Pray !!

According to their denominational authorities, you have shown that they claim that her writings have equality with the Bible.
I just want to state this in case someone smoking dope stumbles across your post knows that you are stating a quotation.

Revelation 22:18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

This is where many people misunderstand that quote.

Official SDA doctrinal statements clearly say:

  • The Bible alone is the final authority
  • Ellen White’s writings are not equal in function or authority to Scripture
For example, an official doctrinal explanation published in MINISTRY and related church documents states:

  • The Bible is “the foundation of faith and the final authority in all matters of doctrine.”
  • They deny thatEllen White’s writings:
    • Are an addition to Scripture
    • Serve the same purpose as Scripture
    • Can be used as the basis of doctrine

3) What does “equal quality of inspiration” mean?

In SDA theology, that phrase usually means:

  • The Holy Spirit inspires prophets
  • Inspiration itself is not graded (you either are inspired or not)
  • But function and authority differ
A common analogy used in SDA writings:

  • Biblical prophets (like Moses or Paul)
  • Non-canonical prophets (like Nathan or Ellen White)
Both inspired—but only Scripture is canonical.

4) Important context about that 1981 statement

The quote appears in an article, not a voted Fundamental Belief.

That matters because:

  • Not everything in MINISTRY equals official doctrine
  • Articles often reflect theological discussion, not binding belief
  • Official doctrine is found in the Fundamental Beliefs voted by the world church

5) The official SDA belief (summarized)

According to the church’s official statements:

  • The Bible is the only rule of faith and doctrine
  • Ellen White had the gift of prophecy
  • Her writings:
    • Provide guidance and counsel
    • Help apply biblical principles
    • Must always be tested by Scripture
Not the other way around.

Ellen White teaches all things must be tested by Scripture, she never placed her writings equal to Scriptures.

“The Bible, and the Bible alone, is to be our creed, the sole bond of union; all who bow to this Holy Word will be in harmony.”
— Selected Messages, Book 1, p. 416

“The testimonies of Sister White should not be carried to the front. God’s Word is the unerring standard.”
— Selected Messages, Book 3, p. 30

“Let all prove their positions from the Scriptures and substantiate every point they claim as truth from the revealed Word of God.”
— Evangelism, p. 256

In reality, SDA doctrines reflect the false and deceptive "visions" of EG White. If SDA followed its own principles, a good deal of SDA teaching would be dismissed as false. SDA still presents "The Great Controversy" as truth. It is not.

I can defend every SDA doctrine from the Bible alone. It’s easy to make accusations, not as easily to prove them. We will be accountable for every word we sayMat12:36 and there is nothing any of us can hide from God Ecc12:13-14

Spot on. SDA's doublespeak is a dead giveaway. Such a tragedy that so many are so subtly deceived yet deceived nonetheless.

I just "proved," via SDA's own dragon speak, the spirit behind the false prophet. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. At the end of the day, SDA denominationalism will prove to be your undoing.

It’s not a sin to be wrong; it’s not even a sin to be grossly wrong. It is a sin, however, to refuse the reproof, the correction, when the truth of the matter has been made available.

Do you think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves, therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:5-8)

The church had managed quite well without SDA for 1800 years. SDA insults mighty men of God who rescued the church from the grip of Roman Catholicism and preached the gospel to much of the world. SDA adds nothing of any worth and only produces division and confusion. By all means stay under the law. It was made for people like you. As for reals believers, we know Jesus and we depend on Him, not on our self righteous, feeble attempts to obey the law.

Rather, the complete title of the SDA magazine is, "Ministry: A Magazine for Clergy" (red emphasis mine). The book of Malachi does warn us that it is the priests, the scholars, who have corrupted the covenant and led many astray...

And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you....For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts. (chapter 2).

Anyway I hope you find peace in your heart.

God will sort it all out my faith is in Him.

Cite where she said that, all I see is your words.
Perhaps you can tell me in the Bible where Satan is made the scapegoat for the sins of mankind.

And how about this from the Great Controversy

"By His death He began that work which after His resurrection He ascended to complete in heaven (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 489). (Italics mine)

"Therefore the announcement that the temple of God was opened in heaven and the ark of His testament was seen points to the opening of the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary in 1844 as Christ entered there to perform the closing work of the atonement (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 433).

The book of Hebrews contradicts Ellen G White.

Hebrews 10:11-14
"Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this Priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time, He waits for His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet, because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified. (Italics mine)

Hebrews 10:19-22 "Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Placed by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."

Do you believe the Bible or EG White?
