I wanna know, has anyone else ever felt suicidal? I mean , divorce, 5 children, no job, zero friends, zero money, zero self esteem....zero everything y'all. I mean, how bad can it get? I had to cry out to God for help.

I don't have any answers you can use. All I know is, a life is not gauged by the things you listed. That's what the world uses to gauge success in life, but it's not what is really critical.

You definitely cried out to the right person. Jesus knows a lot about suffering. He doesn't negate the fact that we will suffer in life if not more for those who follow Him. But He encourages us with victory to come and strength for the present.
For the present we are promised joy, peace, love, strength, hope, and blessings.
How? In our surrender to Him in all things. The more we become Christ-like the more we begin to see the positive aspects of faith.
My younger brother last year attempted suicide at least twice. It is a very dark place to be and often the end result of depression. It can be as a voice telling you that everyone would be better off without you. But you have to see that voice as the liar.
Times are difficult now but they will not always be that way. People want to help, people love you, and resist the feeling to withdraw from that reality.
A church will help, government or state benefits can help, seek family members, and best of all pray that God will provide your daily bread.
You are a mother to 5 kids who see you probably much different than you see yourself. You sound like you have the heart of a great mom and you are doing the best you can.
God sees that and loves you. He knows your situation and sees the effort you take to make your kids not feel the full weight of stress. That is honorable in itself.
Hang in there, have faith, and do not be ashamed of admitting you need help. Most of us have had seasons of feeling like the world is against us.
Put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. Ask him for what you need today and to get you through the day. One day at a time. God gave the Israelites only enough mana/food for one day.
I recommend to you to read Galatians. When you follow Christ, you become adopted into the family of God.
And in the Church, you are a family member. “So, then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19).
Your personal situation is unique, and so I can only generalize. You can apply for financial assistance in your county. Just google it, make a call, or go on in. There may be free mental health assistance, and job placement assistance too. Join a church, or if/when you're with a church, speak with your pastor about your situation, plus family. You're not alone.

I just looked up 'is there help for the poor in Kenya' and got some results. Are any of them close to you and are there any churches around? I pray that Jehovah Jireh God of miracles will bless you with help soon, IJNA
so sorry friend .its hard when the believer has to wait ,but be encouraged ,you just have to begin to use your imagination again ,just as you did as a child . in the scriptures its as far as you can see that's what you take possession . expectations pay a great role in the kingdom of heaven , kingdom of heaven is the new citizenship you are called into as a new believer . read psalms it will reveal who you have become in Christ Jesus today .stay blessed and be a blessing today to world .

Absolutely. My ex disappeared with my kids, but I still had to pay child support. People I considered friends turned on me. I had one who tried to help us both. My ex turned people against him also. It was a miserable time that I would wish on no one. If not for Jesus, I would surely have ended it.
Apostle paul was never married yet he gave marriage principles many are led to follow ..one doesn't need to go through a circumstance to gain experience .the holy spirit teaches friend .
I'm separated / divorce qualified. Widower qualified too. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt.

It definately affects a person's mental health. And if your mental health is not okay, nothing is okay. And That's very critical my friend. I was in that situation and i can tell it broke me to very tiny pieces . But i thank God because He's The Lifter of those who are broken
Yes Job was except he lost everything even his own children but still had his wife, who told him to curse God and die! And he also had friends who 'comforted' him... so he may have had it worse considering....

God has to be our ultimate source of joy and peace. But, to get to that place... I hear Christians say they are there (I truly wonder if they understand what they're saying). I am not, and not sure how to get there. And, until I do, I feel lost without the basics of this life: job/career/purpose, mate, and friends.
I have thought about suicide, but a) my survival instinct's too great, b) I would hurt too many people, and c) I'm not sure how God would respond to it. Ultimately, that tells God that we did not trust His way for us, and I'm not sure what would happen after my soul left my body.
Job went through a terrestrial Hell. I have experienced what I call a "Job-lite": joblessness, homelessness, and my wife having gone Home before I did, and at a young age. I am now unemployed again, and I still am alone. I'm worried about losing my little mobile home. I am 58, and I am asking God, "When is this going to stop? WILL it ever stop? I do not want to live this way. I know I am to be clay in your hands, but must my life be this way until the end?? Must the painful "sculpting" go on perpetually? Most Christians seem to have periods of blessing and disciplining. After 14+ years of being without a woman in my life (and getting less pretty each day), and with the past 6 or so years experiencing very choppy waters employment-wise, and now being in AZ for 3.5 years and still with zero social life, how much longer is this going to go on?? I know I need to trust Your wisdom. Help me to do that, but please... please... take Your heavy hand from me the millisecond it is possible!"

This life is not forever. There is much greater joy to be had in the next world.
Draw strength from those around you until you are strong enough. I use Samaritans as an outlet if I am having particularly dark thoughts.
Writing things down in a journal can help.
We can control how we feel by what we are thinking about.
