You're right, it's tragic. But there is a such a fine line between comedy and tragedy that leaves us coping by either laughing or crying. If it weren't for that narrow gate to freedom, we'd all be stuck on this miserable, laughable, stage.

I did the pictures with Victoria Beckham and the story were pretty funny.
In my worst moments I feel like I always had a sense of humor and could laugh, it really is important!!
Laughing is really good medicine, lots of science to support that too.

The strangest thing is that it seems the best laughs are those that produce tears.

Could your Mom have some expectations for maturity that makes you feel badly?
God can help.
Most Mom's love their children and want them to grow up to become independent and healthy. When they notice that sins are keeping their young men in a state of immaturity, they will react. Just think about it this way, would you prefer to be forced into a desperate situation or for her to get on your case? Even if she expresses anger, at least there's communication. It hurts, but she hurts too. That's probably why you are both arguing.

As to sins, there must first be a solution. Below is the real solution. It's not through perfecting your life, it's through the perfect Person Who gave His life for you. He can and will save you from the inevitable.
Then He and His Word/ the Bible will provide you with power to overcome sins that are holding you back.

1st Salvation

2nd Growing spiritually

Off topic, but I watched this pastor do a video on eschatology and the situation in the middle east it was really good.
I could just tell he was a top notch pastor.
Have you seen it?

I think you've helped unlock my tendency toward creating cartoons in my attempts to create fine art.

I still am scrolling back and laughing, hilarious,....oh well however you express those creative impulses, it's good!

This my set the fact picture
  • Inherent Inability: The flesh is viewed as structurally incapable of producing True Righteousness. As Romans 8:7 states, the mind governed by the flesh is Hostile to God and Cannot Submit to His law.
  • The Internal Battle: Even after a man experiences spiritual renewal, biblical text describes a constant War between the desires of the flesh and the desires of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:17
  • The Remedy: Because the flesh is unrighteous, Few holds that it cannot be reformed or improved; instead, it must be "Crucified" or Overcome through Reliance on the Holy Spirit.
This view leads to a profound conclusion: if the flesh is permanently unrighteous, then Any Goodness or Righteousness a man exhibits Cannot Originate from Themselves, but must be Entirely the Work of God living through Them.
So yeah None Good
just as Jesus said Also .
Jesus also said love your flesh Life you loose it .then He says Hate your flesh Life keep it etc

I listen to some of his sermons and we are usually in agreement. I don't think I heard that one. If you have a title or link, I'll try to work that into my week.

I am not seeing where he states he thought it was a problem, maybe you can find that post when you have a chance.

I read the opposite.

I just don't understand what's wrong. i don't know if God even cares, because i also have watched X rated content throughout my life
(i would say since i was around 17 years old, so i was not exposed to it at a young age) and have "argued" with my own mother...

I don't know what to say or do anymore...I can only hope God hasn't left me, but i wouldn't be surprised if he did, do to how bad my life has gone recently."

Kudos to him, that's better self awareness and understanding than many decades older are capable of. Maybe you're not understanding what he actually said so much, due to not considering the full context of what he said.

Many much older people don't exhibit that much self awareness and personal responsibility.

Yes that must be it.

If it's necessary, the rolls eyes suggested you didn't expect a prompt reply. You didn't include the full applicable text in your comments, which strongly suggests the lad is genuine.

Remember: since you first believed Jesus Christ, you received an everlasting salvation and forebearence for your sins.
This is not to say that one should not make effort to abstain from sin. But as long as you have His fruit of doing righteousness in you, you're redeemed. The righteousness is to believe the Son of God.

I recall a scripture .where a Dig returns to his own vomit. I see this all over Posts. The ficus of the flesh is claiming the master
I share this to maybe know exactly how to keep the Flesh Crucified.

The Bible teaches that victory over the flesh does not come from Staring at your Flaws. It comes from Staring at Jesus.
  • Look Forward, Not Backward: Galatians 5:16 states, "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." Notice the order. The verse does not say "stop sinning so you can walk in the Spirit." It says walk in the Spirit first, and the freedom follows naturally.
  • Crowding Out the Bad: If a cup is filled with dirty water, you do not clean it by scraping the bottom; you pour clean water in until the dirty water overflows and leaves. Focusing on the Holy Spirit moves you forward because His presence naturally crowds out sinful desires.
  • The True Anointing: The anointing of Jesus is meant to Empower believers for ministry, healing, and love (Luke 4:18). When a church or individual focuses only on behavior modification, they miss out on the supernatural power available to them.
Why People Default to the Flesh
  • Fear: It is frightening to trust an invisible Spirit, so people default to rigid checklists.
  • Pride: It feels good to check off a list of things you didn't do today and feel superior to others.
  • Immaturity: Discerning the movement of the Holy Spirit requires patience and deep prayer, while pointing out sin takes no spiritual effort at all.

This was the good wisdom my mother passed on to me when I was young, and it was always helped me keep things in perspective.

"As long as your body is healthy you have a thousand problems, the moment your body gets sick you have one."
