I have a short attention span, and that format is irritating to me. I will be glad to discuss... present the points you want, one at a time please (I know how you can get carried away).

really? you have a short attention span?:)

okay.

here (there is a range of postions within the Amil camp...they ALL place the first resurrection as a complex of our new birth (raised to eternal life already...and entering heaven awaiting the immortal body....UNLESS you believe in soul sleep....that people promised they have passed from death to life lie in their graves eternally alive awaiting their bodies):

f. WHO ARE THE "SOULS" REIGNING WITH CHRIST IN REV 20:4?

(1) THESE "SOULS" ARE NOT YET RESURRECTED

(a) "SOUL" CAN MEAN "PERSON." IF SO, THEN JOHN’S VISION WOULD BE OF SAINTS IN THEIR RESURRECTED STATE ON THE EARTH. E.g., Acts 2:41

(b) THE CONTEXT DOES NOT INDICATE THIS, HOWEVER.

i) THE INTERMEDIATE STATE IS INDICATED BY THE CONTRAST OF SOUL WITH BODY

ii) THE SCENE SEEMS TO BE HEAVEN, NOT EARTH: the setting of Rev 20:4 appears to be that of Rev 4-5, and 20:4 appears to the fulfillment of Christ’s promise in 3:21.

iii) THROUGHOUT REVELATION THE THRONE OF CHRIST AND HIS PEOPLE IS ALWAYS IN HEAVEN: 1:4, 3:21, 4:5, 6:16, 7:9ff, 8:3, 12:5, 14:3, 16:17, 19:4-5, 20:11, 21:5, 22:1,3

(c) WHAT, THEN, IS MEANT BY "FIRST RESURRECTION"?

i) STRIMPLE IDENTIFIES IT WITH THE BELIEVER’S RECEPTION INTO HEAVEN: "The first resurrection occurs when he or she departs this life and is immediately ushered into the presence of Christ to reign with him. The second resurrection will be bodily at Christ’s second coming" (127)

ii) OTHER AMILLENNIALISTS IDENTIFY IT WITH REGENERATION

a) 1 Jn 3:14, Eph 2:4-6, and Col 2:13 speak of Christians as already having "come to life" in Christ.
b) Eph 2:6, 1 Cor 3:21-22, and Col 3:1-2 speak of them as already spiritually enthroned with him in heaven.

Amillennialism

In a regular year, there were...

commanded by the one who became Jesus Christ. In an intercalary year we must add...

New Moon: 2 Bulls 1 ram, 7 lambs and 1 goat
Daily Sacrifice: 60 lambs Sabbath sacrifices: 8 lambs 79 animals.

You may say what you will about the LORD (Jesus Christ) Who commanded these sacrifices, but there is no way I will say anything about what He commanded and what will be done in the future.

Hebrews 10:8-10
8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:8 references Psalm 40:6 and 51:16. So this is not just a New Testament concept; God did not take pleasure in death at all; that's why He offered Himself in Christ on the Cross - to end it - once, for all.

Amillennialism

I disagree with these rationalizations.

Paul said that Hymenaeus was creating problems by claiming that the resurrection had already occurred. There are two ways to look at this: 1) a physical resurrection, or 2) a spiritual resurrection. I am thinking that he taught the latter because the former doesn't make sense in the context.

Perhaps Hymenaeus is the father of amillennialism?

Guys, I want to make this point clear:

I don't have a dog in the hunt here.

We need to recognize that NONE of the end-times doctrines or interpretations out there constitute core issues of the Christian faith beyond the fact that Jesus IS coming back and there WILL be judgement for both the redeemed and the unredeemed.

Much of what is beyond that is speculation on our parts and anyone who tells you they have it all figured out beyond a doubt is fibbing.

That said, I’m completely comfortable stating that I don’t have the end-times timeline and events all figured out.

As of this writing, I’m a “Pan-Tribber” and “Pan-Millennialist” with Pre-Trib leanings (if indeed there is a 'Trib' at all) and an open mind that understands that what I think or don’t think about it is not going to change God’s timetable or manifestations of events.

That is, I figure God has it all worked out and knows what He’s doing and it will all pan out in the end

.

My job is to be faithful to that which He has called me in this lifetime, whatever that may bring, all the while keeping in sight the completed work of Christ at the Cross and measuring everything through that lens.

And the Gospel and the core issues of the Gospel are why I choose to participate on a thread like this; when core issues of the Christian faith such as the Forever, Perfect, once-for-all Sacrifice and Perfect, Forever, High Priesthood of Christ are negated, then a different Jesus and a different Gospel are being preached somewhere along the line.

Do I think our Dispensational brothers and sisters have it all wrong? No, neither do they have it all right. The same goes for our Reformed brothers and sisters, our Orthodox (capital 'O') brothers and sisters, etc., etc.

None of us has a perfect theology.

But what I do know is that any belief within a theology that goes against the Gospel (Who Jesus is, What He came to do, What that actually accomplished, and who we who believe are in Christ) needs to be thrown out.

and yet we have people TRAMPLING the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST to revert back to animal sacrifices.
this is not Christianity.

this is a Judaized corruption of Christianity and everyone holding to this is literally DENYING that Jesus IS THE Christ.

Astounding, isn't it ? Astounding to think that some would believe this to be in God's future plan for this corrupt world. I'm wondering here if it has ever occurred to some that the animal blood sacrifices in the OT were not a testament of God's holy and loving nature (and something He took pleasure in) ... but rather a reflection of mankind's utterly decrepit, immoral character ... and the grotesqueness of such requiring it's equal opposite i.e... the innocent atonement (paying the price) for those guilty in order for a holy God to be able to look upon something as unholy as our human nature/flesh obliges us to be. And as if this isn't enough, some would have us now stroll back to those corridors of shame in the name of "Christianity" ... validating their utter atrocity of irreverence for the cross ... and God's most precious blood sacrifice of Himself in Christ Jesus ... from which it can only be concluded that the Perfect Lamb Himself wasn't quite "adequate enough" to appease such a bloodthirsty "father". Beyond disgraceful and enough to bring a tear in lieu of such horrendous ignorance of so precious a God and Saviour.:(

Three questions to answer.

1. Where would people get the "crazy/absurd/silly" idea Jesus is ruling and reigning now?

2. Where would people get the "crazy/absurd/silly" idea that the early church considered themselves in a first resurrection spiritual condition already seated with Christ in the heavenly places?

3. Where would people get the "crazy/absurd/silly" idea that even though the early church considered themselves in a first resurrection spiritual condition currently seated and ruling with Jesus, they expected a future defeat of all death through a physical resurrection of the dead?

I'll answer them.

do not know where the second two come from. They do not differ from what I believe.

But I have a crazy idea. Why do people think Jedsus is not ruling now (although he has all authority to)

Scripture says when he rules he will rule with an iron rod.

1. Yet evil has been prevelant. The hitlers, Sadaam Huesains and would not have any authority in a world ruled by the king
2. Evil runs in the streets. Gang murders, Gang rapes. Our children raped by pedofiles. People cheating others. Many live in rule of barbarian evil dictators and warlords
3. Disease running rampant, Aids killing millions and even more diseases which seem to be stronger, even old diseases which we thought dormant are making a comeback (although we were told that would happen by Jesus himself as part of the birth pangs preceding his return) The great king is said to also be the great healer)
4. Natural disasters killing many and getting stronger. people blame it on global warming, Yet again, Christ prophesied in birth pangs. Where is the ruler of the earth?
5, Satan bound by the king while he rules. Yet he creeps like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour (he devours by decieving people and nations to turn them from truth) so where is the ruler with the iron rod having bound satan.

All one has to do is look at the wworld. Watch the news, See the evil. The king may have all authority ( He always did have it, even in the OT, the great I AM who spoke to moses and through all the prophets) But he is sitting at the right hand of God UNTIL his enemies are made his footstool. When he will destroy the nations. Destroy Evil. and finally rule, and bring the earth back to the way it was supposed to be.

Currently I’m not being ruled with a rod of iron and Satan is not bound. The new covenant is an agreement with God and the first fruits. Just like the terms of the old covenant came to completion after Christ’s first coming the scriptures seems to indicate the terms of the new covenant will come to completion after Christ’s second coming and gathering of the first fruits.

You do not believe people will get saved different do you?

You make the same mistake Jewish leaders made in Jesus day.
They said he was only ruling if all evil were stopped.

I gave verses already that show he is ruling.
Yes things aren't perfect yet, that's why it says he must reign until he puts all enemies under his feet.
Reigning and existence of enemies/evil are not mutually exclusive.

Not all of them repented at his first advent. What makes you think they will do so at his second. There is nothing in scripture to support such an idea.

There is not?

You should read more..

[SUP]25 [/SUP]For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. [SUP]26 [/SUP]And so all Israel will be saved,[SUP][g][/SUP] as it is written:

“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
[SUP]27 [/SUP]For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”[SUP][h][/SUP]

Notice, It says he TURNS AWAY THE GODLINESS FROM JACOB. As EZ Says, they will NO LONGER CONTINUE in their TRANSGRESSIONS.

It does nto say he saved them from their sin, It says he turns them from their sin.

I recomend you heed pauls warning. And not think puff yourself up. But understand the mystery

You make the same mistake Jewish leaders made in Jesus day.
They said he was only ruling if all evil were stopped.

Nope. they did not see that he would come twice.

Once to save them. Once to rule them.

They did not think they needed saved, thats why they missed it, And because of it, the truth was hidden from them, and still is

The OT says all evil will stop. Unless we ignore these passages.. Or symbolise them all away.

Again, it can't be heaven, As I showed Zone, there will be no babies in heaven, and God will not increase the children of Israel in heaven.

No, You you did not show me where it says his is ruling with an iron rod. people ask all the time why he does not put a stop to all this now. Why is he allowing it to happen. Why does he not rule scripture said he would.

Because he is patient, Willing that none should perish. But one day his patience will where out All who will come to him will have come, and he puts and end to it all. Why? Because if he did not cut it short. No flesh would survive.

What he was referring to in verses 26-27 is exactly what happened at Pentecost and beyond. Apart from reading your interpretation into these three verses, you will not be able to show me anywhere in scripture that anything more than a remnant is saved.

Well thats to bad. That paul wrote this LONG after pentecost. Spoke of a future event. Israel is just as blind today as she was at pentecost. And the time Paul wrote romans 11. Nothing has changed. And the gentile time is still in place. it has not yet been completed. And he told us not to be to proud. But to know the mystery that says there will eb a day (future not pentecost) all Israel will be saved.

If anything, After pentecost. less jews God saved, Not more..

I guess you will see what you want to see. WHich is sad, We need to be open minded. Not closed minded

Ever stop to think on these verses or put two and two together John 14:2-4; 1 Thess 4:14-17; Rev 20:5-7
It seems to me that our Lord goes to heaven to prepare a place for us, the righteous dead get resurrected first and with the righteous living, go to that place in heaven that Jesus went and prepared for us. Then while the earth is desolate without one living righteous person upon it (Remember that the evil living are stricken dead and the evil dead are in their graves awaiting the second resurrection) because the righteous have met the Lord in the air (Remember, not on the earth but above it, because we must be going someplace prepared for us in heaven) Satan and his evil angels have no one to mess with or to tempt. Earth is now their prison for one thousand years. After that he is set free to rally the evil dead in the second resurrection against the Holy City coming down from heaven within it's gates the righteous are gathered like Noah and his family in the Ark. And well, that's how I picture it!

Thats close my friend. But, you will find in Isaiah that there are people that don not trust in God survive the trib. They are given 100 years to accept Him and even with Him on the throne in Jerusalem, many will not and then they will die. God is a God of righteousness and goes out of His way to protect it. Which is why we are given many years to accept Him before we die. So, that on the day of judgement no man can point the finger and say I didn't know or If I had one more chance. No He has given chance after chance and then some.

Jesus will reign on this Earth for 1,000 years as His promise to David will be fulfilled. His throne will be in Jerusalem and all nations will be forced to pat tribute and worship at monthly interludes and the trees by the river will provide food and the leaves for medicine as they are still in flesh bodies.

Say what you want but it is the truth of the bible. Read it and not what a man say's.

What's a king with no one to rule? We shall reign and rule with Him. Over what and who?

A problem I see with this interpretation is that the Gog/Magog hordes surround the city of the holy ones before the new Jerusalem descends from heaven. Paul said that Christ would subdue all rebellion before GOD the father would come to earth to dwell with his people.

But whenever all things are subjected to [Christ], then the Son himself also will be subjected to the one [the father] who subjected all things to him [Christ], in order that God may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15:28

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them [on earth], and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelation 21:2-3

Christ is reigning in Heaven and is seated at the Right Hand of the Father, but the ultimate consumation of His reign will take place on this Earth when He is ruling the Nations with a rod of iron from Jerusalem, seated on the literal throne of David. When all His enemies will have been made His footstool (Psa. 110:1, Matt. 22:44, Mark 12:36, Luke 20:43, Acts 2:35, Hebrews 1:13).
The idea that mortal life will continue on earth after Christ's second coming is completely foreign to the scripture. Premillennial theology is improbable for several reasons; first, to have an earthly millennial age after Christ's second coming means that there cannot be a resurrection. This doctrine teaches that people living during this future millennial age will have mortal bodies, however the bible teaches that at Christ’s second coming there will be a resurrection where all the living will be changed and the dead will be raised, some to life and some to damnation. So where will the millennial age folks come from? Outer space?

...but the ultimate consumation of His reign will take place on this Earth when He is ruling the Nations with a rod of iron from Jerusalem, seated on the literal throne of David...
Yep, Christ ain’t presently on David’s throne because of the mystery-church-age-plan-B in place.

ChosenbyHim, Christ was already seated on David’s everlasting throne in Heaven on the day of Pentecost, and He will be there until His second coming when all His enemies have been made His footstool. The last enemy to be vanquished is death, ushering us into eternity; no future millennial age. Okay?

...When all His enemies will have been made His footstool...
Now let's examine that passage...

1 Cor. 15:22-26
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming
.
24 Then cometh the end [when Jesus returns], when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. So if Christ is going to deliver up His kingdom to God the Father at His second coming then it means that He ALREADY has a spiritual kingdom. Therefore this text clearly refutes premillennialism.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. Jesus Christ sat down at the right hand of God after His finished work on Calvary (Hebrews 10:12-13) and is presently reigning as the King of Kings. ChosenbyHim, unfortunately, has Christ as a Kingnow but without a kingdom.:(
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
